Love in the Big City

Based on the bestselling novel by Park Sang Young, “Love in the Big City” is being adapted in the film and televised versions. While the latter is still in production, we have some good news about the movie. Helmed by Director Lee Eon Hee and starring Kim Go Eun and Noh Sang Hyun in lead roles, the movie will have its theatrical release on October 2, following its premiere at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13.

Synopsis-

Characterized by her sharp tongue and daring attitude, Jae Hee is always at the center of gossip and hateful rumors. Meanwhile, Heung Soo is set on keeping his gay identity a secret for life. One day, in the back alley of a hotel, Jae Hee discovers Heung Soo’s secret by chance. Contrary to Heung Soo’s worries, Jae Hee keeps his secret and even helps him in a critical moment. As the two misfits begin to rely on each other, they secretly move in together and attempt to find love in the prejudiced world they live in.

Scriptwriter Ash Malanum & director Ivan Andrew Payawal of “Gameboys The Series” fame reunite for their next project. Titled “Pretty Boys”, the anthology stars Tommy Alejandrino (“The Day I Loved You”), Kiel Aguilar & Markus Paterson. Set to premiere on Viva Max Plus soon.

Love Enemy

Influduction announces their next project “Love Enemy”. Starring Boy Nattapon (“Ghost Host Ghost House”) and Fiat Natthakorn (“Top Secret Together”), the show is set to premiere on July 26 on YouTube.

Synopsis-

When Chalam, a handsome yet annoying tutor meets Than, the naughty & stubborn neighbor next door.

Ossan’s Love Thailand

The cast of GMMTV’s upcoming romcom “Ossan’s Love TH” had their read through session. Starring Earth Pirapat, Mix Sahaphap & Krit Shahkrit Yamnam alongside Thor Thinnaphan, Kapook Ploynira, Ryu Phudtripart & Parn Nachcha in lead roles, the show is a remake of the Japanese original story of the same name. Earth, Mix & Krit were reprising roles played by popular Japanese actors, Tanaka Kei, Hayashi Kento & Yoshida Kotaro.

Fourever You Project

Studio Wabi Sabi released the official poster & pilot for their upcoming adaptation “Fourever You Project”. Adapted from the “Four Doctors” (สี่หมอ) novels ” East : Tag!, You’re Mine,” “North: How Much Is Your Love?,” “South: Beside the Sky,” and ” West: The Sun from Another Star” by Howlsairy, the show has an ensemble casting which includes prominent actors like Pond Ponlawit, Earth Katsamonnat, Maxky Ratchata, Bas Hassanat, Bever Patsapon, Tonliew Methaphat, Ngern Anupart & Oat Tharathon.

Sugar Dog Life

Promotions are in full swing for the upcoming Japanese adaptation “Sugar Dog Life”. Adapted from the manga “Sugar Dog Life” (シュガードッグライフ) by Yoriko (依子), the show stars Tawada Hideya and Tanaka Koki as main leads. Set to premiere on August 3.

Synopsis-

A love story interwoven between Sakuraba Isumi, a short, baby-faced university student who is a great cook, and Amasawa Kyosuke, a tall, sincere police officer with a natural, easygoing charm. Twenty-year-old Isumi is mistaken for a minor and nearly gets taken into custody by Amasawa. Later, Isumi runs into Amasawa again at the convenience store where he works part-time. From then on, every time they meet, Amasawa asks for recommendations for late-night snacks. Concerned about Amasawa’s eating habits, Isumi offers, “How about I come over and cook for you?” Visiting Amasawa’s home, they grow closer through home-cooked meals.

Mate The Series

Zenze Entertainment unveiled the official teaser for their upcoming Thai GL “Mate The Series”. Adapted from the novel “Mate” (Mate เพื่อนรัก) by Chao Planoy (เจ้าปลาน้อย), the show stars Oaey Ponchanok and Grace Budsarin who will be playing the main couple, Kenlong and Oengoei.

Synopsis-

I am Kenlong, a woman born with beauty, wealth, and a big brain. Everything about me has to be perfect, especially my someone special. Nothing ever shook me, until I met my childhood friend, an innocent childish girl like Oengoei who gave me lice when we were young. Why do I surrender to a girl like that? It could be those sweet eyes that distracted me. I was upset that I felt sensitive toward my close friend, and she is a girl!

Perfect10 Liners

We have the first look stills for Perth Tanapon and Santa Pongsapak who is replacing Chimon Wachirawit in the upcoming adaptation “Perfect10 Liners”. Adapted from the novel set “Engineer Cute Boy” by JittiRain, Perth and Santa will be portraying the roles of Yotha & Gun.
