There were loads of updates from the Thai BL industry, as well as their Taiwanese & Japanese counterparts. Joining the excitement surrounding MewTul’s engagement, we are in the long haul for some intriguing exclusives lined up for the upcoming months!

Love Casting

First teaser is out for upcoming Taiwanese BL reality show “Love Casting”. The show has eight contestants, who in order to win the lead role in a BL drama will go on a summer journey for 7 days & 6 nights. They will take on BL script missions to develop feelings and understandings. In the final confession scene, they must choose each other to perform the BL drama. The contestants vying for the top spot are Liao Yan Long (Adson), Chien Yi Chen, Robert Hung, Yi Gao, Fumi, Fu Jun Jie, Gao Guie, and Chris. The first two episodes will premiere at the Taiwan International Queer Film Festival on October 24.

Fragrance You Inherit

Official poster and teaser released for upcoming Japanese GL “Fragrance You Inherit”. Adapted from Ogawa Maruni’s popular manga “Kimi no Tsugu Kaori wa” (“The Scent You Inherit”), the show stars Hoshino Mari and Kato Rosa in the lead roles. Hoshino will play Sakura, the main character who lives as a mother of a child while harboring feelings of love for Mone, and Kato will play Mone, Kano’s mother and Sakura’s first love. The show will premiere on TOKYO MX, starting November 8th.

Hidden Love Tricks

Thai GL author “Flowerofmemory9” has confirmed that another of her novel “เล่ห์รักซ่อนร้าย (Hidden Love Tricks)” will be adapted soon. Two other of her novels, “Remain” and “Sunset” are also being adapted.

Exclusive Love

LINE TV has released the official teaser for their upcoming Taiwanese BL “Exclusive Love”. Starring Mao Qi Sheng, Zhang Jia Sheng, Xu Wei Ze, Pu Jing Heng, Sun Mai Jie, and Zheng Li Yu in lead roles, the show is set to premiere on IQIYI.

Synopsis-

The story centers on Wang Zhan, a timid second-generation funeral director with dreams of becoming a singer, who struggles with the responsibility of taking over his family’s business. His life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Tang Duzhi, a disciplined and charismatic ace mortician who becomes his mentor.

This Monster Wants to Eat Me

Based on the manga by Sai Naekawa, “This Monster Wants to Eat Me” will get anime adaptation in 2025. A visual teaser was released and official poster alongside the illustration drawn by the author to commemorate the announcement. Reina Ueda will be voicing the main protagonist Hinako Yaotose.

Synopsis-

Since losing her family in an accident, Hinako has had a vague wish to die, though feels she cannot go through with it herself. One day, she meets a mermaid named Shiori who tells Hinako that her flesh and blood are especially delicious to yōkai. Wanting to eat Hinako herself, Shiori promises to protect her from other yōkai until she is at her most delicious, at which point Shiori will eat her. Due to her feelings regarding the accident, Hinako accepts this fate.

Cranium
