One of the most heartbreaking truths of our world is the struggle people face in getting others to see past perceived limitations and recognize their true potential.
The Taiwanese BL See Your Love, starring Lin Yu as Yang Zi Xiang (“Sean”) and Kim Yun as Jiang Shao Peng, delves into this struggle, even as it promises a wild adventure between the powerful and those who are drawn into their circle.
The first two episodes of this drama introduce us to Yang Zi Xiang, a spoiled and mischievous heir in Taiwan for business, and Jiang Shao Peng, a deaf and mute man struggling to find a job that values him for his knowledge and training rather than fixating on his deafness. While these early episodes don’t dive deeply into the plot, they do powerfully highlight the harsh realities of workplace prejudice against people with disabilities, a theme that feels pivotal and timely. Kim Yun’s portrayal of Shao Peng is particularly compelling, making it easy to empathize with his struggles and root for his success.

Though romance is only hinted at so far, there’s undeniable chemistry between Zi Xiang and Shao Peng when they first meet. Zi Xiang’s intrigue with Shao Peng suggests that their connection will evolve into something more, though the contrast between Zi Xiang’s chaotic, wealthy life and Shao Peng’s personal ambitions sets up an interesting, and possibly turbulent, romantic journey.
Forget the synopsis and jump straight into the series. While it can be a bit confusing at first, it draws you in with its layered characters and captivating setup. And if nothing else, you’ll be eager to see what lies ahead for Shao Peng and how his growing relationship with Zi Xiang will shape his future.

Great cliffhanger ending to episode one! It appears that Zi Xiang has hired job-seeking Shao Peng as a rent boy. Didn’t see that coming!
In episode two, we get the full story.
Plus we have a mom & dad who (so far) will be solid nominees for Best BL Parents of 2024.
