The last week was lit with fiery updates, announcements and lineup bookings. We got exclusives pouring in from all quarters. It seems the upcoming new year will see the broadcast of quite a few intriguing and riveting stories from the Asian subcontinent.

Eternal Butler

VBL has announced the premiere date for “Eternal Butler”, sequel to “Anti-Reset”. Starring Kevin Chang, Sing Hom, Eden Chen, and Lawrence Lo, the show will start streaming from December 20.

Synopsis-

The story happened after the departure of Ever 9, who fell in love with a human. The leader of the Ever series, Ever 4, in order to fight for his rights as an AI, was sent to the Luo family as a deacon and bodyguard. Facing the rebellious young master of the family, Luo Bu Shi, how can Ever 4, who is used to being in control, keep his young master in line? Due to his family’s financial situation, Lin Jia Qian worked at construction sites and delivery during school breaks, as well as at a cafe during holidays. One time Lin Jia Qian was being chased by a gangster on his way to collect a debt, he bumped into Zhou Zhen Qun. Lin Jia Qian recognised at first sight that Zhou Zhen Qun was the person he had been waiting for, and this fated encounter started.

Mate The Series

“Mate The Series” is set to premiere on November 26 on WeTV. Adapted from the novel “Mate” (Mate เพื่อนรัก) by Chao Planoy (เจ้าปลาน้อย), the show stars Grace Budsarin and Oaey Ponchanok in lead roles.

Synopsis-

I am Kenlong, a woman born with beauty, wealth, and a big brain. Everything about me has to be perfect, especially my someone special. Nothing ever shook me, until I met my childhood friend, an innocent childish girl like Oengoei who gave me lice when we were young. Why do I surrender to a girl like that? Love Senior The Series Special Episode & Remain

Anda Anunta & Lookkaew Kamollak will be reprising their roles in the upcoming Special Episode of ” Love Senior The Series”. Starring alongside them are supporting couples, Noon Thunyaphat- Praewa Putticha & Atom Aphichaya- Mersedes Siripath. Alongside it was also announced that Anda & Lookkaew will also be starring as main leads in the live-action adaptation of Thai GL novel “Remain” by author Flowerofmemory9.

My Only Sunshine The Series

Atom Aphichaya & Mersedes Siripath will be playing the main leads in the upcoming adaptation “My Only Sunshine The Series” by Thai GL author Flowerofmemory9. They previously starred in “Love Senior the Series” and their chemistry was much appreciated.

Be My Soulmate

Mos Panuwat & Bank Mondop are set to star in their third project. Titled “Be My (Soul)mate ร่วมหอลงโรง,” the show is being adapted from the novel by Aiden N. Vivienne, the same author as “Big Dragon The Series”.

Flirt Milk

Announced in last year’s lineup, “Flirt Milk” is finally set to premiere in 2025. Adapted from Arpo’s novel of the same name, the show stars Poohrin Pattanawiriyawanich and Neel Kawich in lead roles.

Synopsis-

Nomjuet, a young man whose personality and life are as dull as his name suggests, brings a forgotten coffee to the faculty. There, he meets a guy named Phra-ek whose personality and name are very different.

True Moon

Adapted from the novel “3 Words 8 Letters” (เดือนหลงเดือน) by Aiden N Vivienne / Aiden Black, “True Moon” is set to premiere in 2025. Stars Dol Noppadol and Arm Napatchai in mead roles.

Time Zone

Adapted from Taohuu’s novel of the same name, “Time Zone” is the only new BL announcement in “Star Hunter 2025 Lineup”. Starring Amus Piopoom and Ikkiw Nitiphat, the show is set to premiere in 2025.

First Note of Love Spin-off

A collaboration between Gagaoolala and Star Hunter Entertainment, Taiwanese BL “First Note of Love” has been making waves. The couple who gained most recognition from this Thai- Taiwanese project were the supporting couple, Jame Kasama (Orca) and Liu Min Ting (Reese). Their natural chemistry was much appreciated and as such, a spinoff starring the actors in lead roles has been announced.

Friend to Fan The Series

Fino Prangkorn and Potae Chawanakorn will be starring as the main leads in the upcoming adaptation “Friend To Fan The Series”. Adapted from Puffy_Nuchy’s novel of the same name, the story is an “Enemies to Lover’s” romance. Supporting cast includes Potae Chawanakorn, Fino Paphangkorn, Pai Apiwit, Tez Thechawat, Sarif Munta, Tan Tirawat, Kao Natheephat, Pugun Chattrin, Thames Thamakorn & Phoom Tawin.

Synopsis-

In the new beginning of Jom’s dream university, he’d delete the image of ‘Nerdy Jom’ from this world and get a pretty girlfriend.

However, his dream was shattered when he met this new friend. The guy was tall, handsome, and a pain in the ass, but that was alright by Jom. The problem was that… his heart started skipping a beat because of him.

Whisper Me A Love Song

The final two episodes of Japanese GL anime “Whisper Me A Love Song” were confirmed to air on 28th Dec, 2024. Both episodes will be streamed at the same time. Adapted from Eku Takeshima’s manga, the broadcast of the final episodes had been delayed for around 6 months now due to production delays earlier this year.

The Moon on a Rainy Night

Kodansha USA Publishing have officially announced the anime adaptation of Kuzushiro’s “The Moon on a Rainy Night (Amayo no Tsuki)” manga. The anime will be distributed worldwide in various countries. Kuzushiro drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement.

Synopsis-

One rainy night, Saki is rushing to a piano lesson when she crashes into a beautiful, long-haired girl, dropping her sheet music in the process. Saki stutters an apology, but the girl simply hands back her sheet music and leaves without a word. Saki begins her first day of high school the following morning, only to find the stranger from the night before sitting at the desk next to hers. She learns that the girl’s name is Kanon and that she is not quite completely deaf, but very hard of hearing. Though Kanon needs to be close to people to read their lips, she tends to push people away with her icy demeanor. Through one kind gesture, Saki slowly begins breaking down the walls around Kanon, even as she feels something new blossoming within her.

When It Rains, It Pours

Ichiho Michi’s BL novel “Futtara Doshaburi (When It Rains, It Pours)” will be adapted into live-action TV drama. To commemorate the drama adaptation, a paperback version of the extra stories collection “Mellow Rain” will also be published in a two-volume set. This is the complete version that also includes the extra chapter of the spin-off “Night Garden”. The release date is scheduled for January 10th.

Synopsis-

Kazuaki is troubled about not being able to have sex with his girlfriend who lives with him. Sei is working in the same company with Kazuaki and has an unrequited love for Kazuaki, his childhood friend who is living with him. One day, an e-mail sent by Kazuaki was accidentally delivered to Sei, and a strange relationship continues where they confess their troubles to each other through e-mail, without knowing each other’s true identities. The ultimate love story about two people tossed around by unrequited love and sex.
