The Boyfriend Season Two

Possibly the announcement that everyone was looking forward to, Netflix announced the second season of their popular queer dating reality show “The Boyfriend”. Alongside a fresh group of boys, commentors Megumi, Chiaki Horan, Thelma Aoyama, Durian Lollobrigida & Yoshimi Tokui will be returning as well. Set to premiere in 2025.

Call Me By No Name

MBS releases official posters & teaser for their upcoming GL adaptation “Call Me By No Name”. Adapted from the mystery novel by Yuki Shasendo, the show stars Mio Kudo & Maka Ozaki. Set to premiere on January 9th. It is yet to be seen if the show will have an international premiere, given the fact that MBS’s last two ventures “Smell Like A Green Spirit” & “Mr Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding” are still unavailable on streaming platforms.

Synopsis-

University student Megumi Yotsugi (played by Kudo) wants to become friends with Kotoha Furuhashi (played by Osaki), a beautiful woman who was abandoned in a garbage dump, but Kotoha proposes a strange bet: “If you can guess her real name, you will become ‘friends’, but until you can guess her name, you will remain ‘lovers’.” Unable to back out, Ai accepts the bet and the two awkwardly deepen their relationship as lovers, but the past hidden in Kotoha’s name bares its fangs.

Another anticipated release that had been gathering dust for quite sometime, EarthMix’s next project “Ossan’s Love Thai” is set to premiere on 6th January. A collaboration between GMMTV & TV Asahi, the show is a remake of the popular Japanese franchise of same name. Starring Earth Pirapat, Mix Sahaphap & Krit Shahkrit in lead roles.

Synopsis-

BeSTAR Comics announces movie adaptation of Nanao’s manga ‘Junai Joto’ (Pure Love Bring It On). The storyline is a pure love story between two of the best fighters in rival schools, a lone wolf, younger Yankee seme & a Yankee uke hiding his trauma behind his innocent appearance.

Synopsis-

The story depicts an “emotional and cute” Yankee BL (Boys’ Love) narrative centered around Kamei Madoka, an undefeated brawler from “Beniko” High School, and Sato Mitsuru who leads at the neighboring Shiraiwa High School. Fresh teasers released for Gagaoolala Original “Fragrance of the First Flower Season 2”. The show stars Lin Zai Zai & Lyan Cheng in lead roles. Set to premiere in 2025.

Synopsis-
