Apart from that, there was a pile up of Japanese anime adaptations, we had a hard time keeping up with the announcements!

I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day

Kadokawa announced that the television anime adaptation of Nachi Aono’s “I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day” manga has been green-lit. The cast members include Rie Takahashi (Sheena Totsuki), Rina Hidaka (Mimi Kagari), Asami Seto (Lizzy Seiran), Yui Ishikawa (Ali Maud).

Synopsis-

At the mysterious orphanage where Sheena lives, death is nothing new to its residents—girls who no longer have families of their own, who are raised as weapons of war, taught to kill and take the lives of others without batting an eye. Everyone, that is, except Sheena, who wishes for nothing more than the growing conflict around her to end. On the night of her roommate’s death, Sheena meets a strange girl covered in blood, who smiles despite the turmoil surrounding them. The next day, the girl appears as a new student in Sheena’s class and introduces herself as Mimi. Initially thought to be a school myth, there are now whispers in the orphanage’s halls that Mimi is their secret weapon—an immortal who cannot die. When Mimi is later assigned as Sheena’s new roommate, Sheena’s world grows even more complicated when she begins living with someone who loves and welcomes death, when all Sheena wants to do is stop it.

Kadokawa announced the anime adaptation of Eri Ejima’s “Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games” (Tai Ari Deshita: Ojō-sama wa Kakutō Game Nante Shinai). Ikumi Hasegawa, Kana Ichinose will be starring in the TV anime.

First look trailer released for upcoming Japanese GL anime adaptation “This Monster Wants to Eat Me”. Written and illustrated by Sai Naekawa. Reina Ueda will be voicing the protagonist Hinako Yaotose. Set to premiere in October 2025.

Synopsis-

Kenshin Kamimura Arrested for “Indecent Assault”

Kenshin Kamimura, a member of the Japanese boy band “ONE N’ ONLY”, was arrested on suspicion of molesting a woman in Portland Street, Mong Kok. He was fired and terminated by his management company, and his IG account was also deleted. Sources said that after Kenshin Kamimura came to Hong Kong for a fan meeting last Saturday (1st), he held a celebratory banquet with his staff at a restaurant in Mong Kok, during which he was suspected of molesting a female translator. After investigation, the police arrested Kenshin Kamimura on the same day. He has been provisionally charged with “indecent assault” and appeared at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts yesterday (4th) morning. The case was adjourned to April 15th for further hearing.

Sources said that from 9am to 8pm last Saturday (1st), the 25-year-old Japanese actor Kenshin Kamimura held a fan meeting in Tung Chung. The female victim served as an interpreter for the event. It was the first time the two met, and they did not know each other before. After the event, at around 10pm, Kenshin Kamimura and other staff members went to an upstairs restaurant on Portland Street in Mong Kok for a “celebration banquet”, during which the indecent assault occurred. The female victim reported the case to the police the next day (2nd) accompanied by a social worker, and the police also arrested Kenshin Kamimura on the same day.

Stardust Communications, the management company of the Japanese boy band “ONE N’ ONLY”, also issued a statement on Tuesday, saying that Kenshin Kamimura was withdrawn from the group and terminated his contract immediately because “he was confirmed to have committed major breaches of contract”. His Instagram account has also been deleted.

According to Section 122 of the Crimes Ordinance, Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong, “indecent assault” is a serious crime and once convicted, the maximum penalty is 10 years’ imprisonment. The police stressed that they will adopt a zero-tolerance attitude towards any indecent assault crimes and will enforce the law strictly.

Even Though We Are Adults

First look poster released for Hulu Japan’s upcoming adaptation “Even Though We Are Adults”. Based on the manga of the same name by Shimura Takako, the show stars Yamamoto Mizuki and Kuriyama Chiaki in lead roles. Premieres on 26th April and will have 12 episodes.

Synopsis-

Ayano, an elementary school teacher in her thirties, stops by a bar one day and runs into her old friend, Akari. Sparks fly as the two chat, and before the night is over, Ayano even goes in for a kiss. Akari is intrigued but confused, especially when she discovers that Ayano has a husband!
