Exciting BL/GL Dramas that Premiered in February, 2025

The month of February saw hearts, love and obviously premiere of some intriguing shows that suited the theme of Valentine’s. We were left riveted and quite satisfied with their advent, with some shows literally stealing the thunder from Day One. It’s not just about the script anymore, the actor’s talents and prowess have become the driving force behind a show’s success!

Exclusive Love

This underrated show certainly didn’t make any waves because of the low key promotions. But obviously, Taiwanese BL have their own charm and their inbred actors are more daring than BL actors in most countries. As such, don’t be surprised if you find yourself falling for the coldhearted ace funeral Director Tang Du Zhi (Parker Mao). Parker is hot and yet again in the handsome boss mode. Chang Chia Sheng plays his bewildered love interest, Wang Zhan, the cowardly successor of a funeral home who is afraid of ghosts. Their combination is pretty interesting, the pull and push is delicious and the chemistry is undeniable. Joining them on this love crusade is the secondary couple, Zhang Yi Qing (Hsv Wei Tse) and Tu Jing He (Pu Ching Heng), childhood sweethearts who are yet to confess their feelings for each other. Perfect for lazy weekends!

Fragrance of the First Flower Season 2

I wasn’t quite enamored with the prequel and didn’t know what to expect from the sequel. But the script writing has certainly improved by leaps and bounds. The sequel focuses on Yi Min & Ting Ting’s fervent reconciliation after Yi Min gets divorced and moves out. While Ting Ting is over the moon about reuniting with Yi Min, they are unable to overcome their difference in opinion. Ting Ting’s free spirited nature doesn’t match Yi Min’s reserved personality. While Ting Ting is planning their future, Yi Min recoils at the mere thought of opening up about her sexuality. Adding to this tension is Ning, who has a crush on Ting Ting and seems to be more suited to her than Yi Min. In the end, will Ting Ting give up on Yi Min and choose Ning or will it be the other way around?

PorschArm the Wedding

Ever experienced the stress of planning a wedding, starting from preparing the guest list, to booking the venue, arranging catering and transportation, everything is chaotic until you actually go through the act. Budgeting is even more gruesome, with one partner wanting more than another. “PorschArm The Wedding” takes you through a walkover of the events before Thai celebrity couple Porsch Apiwat & Arm Sappanyoo got married in a grand ceremony on 10th January, 2025. They have been together for almost ten years, and yet they seem to have their own share of differences. Despite that, they always seem to find a middle ground and their love is evergreen!

Reverse with Me

Adapted from the novel “Reverse with me: Across Millions of Orbits” (Reverse With Me ล้านวงโคจร) by Zezeho, this show is the sequel to “Reverse 4 You Series”. The show focuses on Karan (Natt Nattamon), Four & Jattawa’s daughter who has the ability to manipulate time and can even see future via the power of visions (it is never explained as to why she has both her mother’s and aunt’s powers). For years, she has been dreaming about Kliaokhluen, her fated love interest. Karan grows up to become a doctor, so she could be close to her loved one. In a horrible twist of events, Karan is forced to use her powers to save Kliaokhluen’s life; the only glitch being that her lifetime is reduced every time she uses her abilities to safeguard Kliaokhluen. Since then, she distances herself from Kliaokhluen but still protects her from the sidelines. Pitcha Pitchatorn & Natt Nattamon have an amazing chemistry; they look so beautiful together, they will steal your breath away!

Sashes and Hearts

I’m not a huge fan of shows from Oxin Films. They are mostly poorly scripted but their actors are eye candies. Surprisingly, “Sashes and Hearts” is different. Set in the underbelly of the pageant industry, the show focuses on Jack Collado (Ivan Cojuangco), the pageant winner of Mr. Royale Philippines. Jack is a determined and passionate candidate who wins the national pageant and gears up for an international competition. However, as he chases his dream, he faces the harsh realities and controversies surrounding male pageantry, putting his resilience and integrity to the test. Gio Emprese stuns in the antagonistic role as Jack’s manager, Lemuel de Munoz who is manipulative and scheming. We also have the “Haunted Hearts” couple Mac Alonzo and Larence Brenches portraying the secondary couple, Gin & Jarret. They have a cute “Enemies to Lover’s” romance ensuing which adds flavor to this potboiler!

Secret Relationships

Three men, involved in a secret relationship with the same guy- the premise seems intriguing yet confusing. Jung Da- On (Kim Jun Seo) is at the center of this controversial yet addictive romance. His pursuers include his high school tutor Jae Min (Kim Ho Young) who has manipulating Da-On affections for more than a decade, seeking absolute control over him. Next we have Kim Su Hyeon, the hot headed chaebol heir. He has been love with Da-On since their college days but Jae Min drove a wedge between them. Last but not the least, is the sweet, caring and kind natured, Ju Seong Hyeon (Cha Sun Hyung), Da- On’s office colleague who unknowingly falls in love with him without learning about his painful past. Right now, the only reasonable choice is Seong Hyeon and even though he is trying hard; the other two men are making Da-On’s life difficult!

Await our next feature for the month of March!
