The past week bought some surprising updates from the GL camp, the genre seems to be thriving with exclusives dropping left and right. That doesn’t mean the BL industry is lagging behind, we have recurring announcements from the Boys’ Love arena, some very anticipated releases coming your way!

The Next Prince

ZeeNuNew’s upcoming project “The Next Prince” is set to premiere on 3rd May. Starring Zee Pruk & NuNew Chawarin as main leads, alongside supporting couple Jimmy Karn & Ohm Thanakrit.

Synopsis-

The nation of Emmaly is known for its abundance, both by land and water. Emmaly is ruled by a monarchy and is divided into five regions and leaders. According to royal law, each region must send an heir to compete in order to become a monarch. The winning heir’s father becomes the new king of Emmaly. This story follows the crown prince and heir Khanin of the Atsawathewathin royal family and his royal bodyguard Charan Phithakdheva, whose family has been the Atsawathewathin’s royal guard for decades. Khanin lives far away from Emmaly and he doesn’t care about seizing the throne. Charan, as the royal guard, has the duty to bring Khanin back to the country.

Your Apple The Series

Official teaser & trailer released for “Your Apple The Series”. Starring Ormsin Supitcha & Folk Sutima in lead roles, the show premieres on April 4th. Episodes will be released every Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Kongthup Channel’s YouTube Channel.

Player Series

Heart Pop Studio announces the final casting for “Player Series”. Grace Harper will play the character of Jay and NingNing Mari has been cast in the role of Prang.

To Get Her

Titled as “To Get Her”, the lesbian version of popular Korean queer dating show “His Man”, is scheduled to premiere on Wavve starting 25th April.

At Least We Had This Moment

THIS CITY IS BUILT ON FADING MEMORIES

Official poster released for the upcoming Pinoy BL movie “At Least We Had This Moment” which is set have its international premiere at the Queer East Festival 2025 in London. Directed by Joshua de Vera, the film stars André Miguel and Raven Rigor as main leads.

Weak Hero Class 2

Netflix releases official poster and teaser for the hugely popular upcoming sequel, “Weak Hero Class 2”. Adapted from the webtoon “Weak Hero” written by SeoPass and illustrated by Kim Jin Seok, the show stars Park Ji-hoon alongside Ryeo Un, Choi Min Yeong, Lee Min Jae, Bae Na Ra & Lee Jun Young.

Synopsis-

The weak must break their limits or be broken.

After transferring to Eunjang High School, Yeon Si Eun still carries the scars of his past – a brutal lesson in what it means to fight and fail. Synopsis-

Keen was in the middle of a job interview when he received sudden news of his father’s death. He had no choice but to use all his life savings to organize the funeral. Soon harassed by debt collectors, he discovered that his father had left behind a significant debt from an informal loan.

Keen was compelled to hide at Petchsak camp, a Muay Thai gym, while figuring out a way to pay off the debt he didn’t incur. There, he met Than, a renowned boxer known as “The Cannon Who Conquers Tigers,” the star fighter of the camp. However, no one knew why Than refused to fight anymore: he built an icy wall between himself and others, which Keen had to find a way to break down in order to reach Than’s vulnerable heart and true self. Even Though We Are Adults

Fresh teaser released for Hulu Japan’s upcoming adaptation “Even Though We Are Adults”. Based on the manga of the same name by Shimura Takako, the show stars Yamamoto Mizuki and Kuriyama Chiaki in lead roles. Premieres on 26th April and will have 12 episodes.

Synopsis-

Ayano, an elementary school teacher in her thirties, stops by a bar one day and runs into her old friend, Akari. Sparks fly as the two chat, and before the night is over, Ayano even goes in for a kiss. Akari is intrigued but confused, especially when she discovers that Ayano has a husband! Both Ayano and Akari are about to find out that love doesn’t get any easier, even as you grow older.
