Surprisingly the second week of April was jam packed with new announcements from the GL world. The genre is fast evolving and close on heels to its BL counterpart. As much as we love it, it’s hard keeping up with the updates dropping left and right. But we are committed to bringing you the latest exclusives, so here we go!

Don’t Care for an Old Man’s Underwear!

Official poster and fresh stills released for the movie version of “Don’t Care for an Old Man’s Underwear!”. Adapted from the manga series “Ossan no Pantsu ga Nan Datte Ii Janai ka!” (おっさんのパンツがなんだっていいじゃないか!) by Nerima Zim (練馬zim), Harada Taizo, Nakajima Sota, Jyo Kairi & Higashi Keisuke will be reprising their roles. Scheduled to be released on Friday, July 4th.

Synopsis-

It tells the story of a middle-aged man, Makoto Okita, who is stuck in society’s old common sense and prejudices. He is disliked by his family as a “stiff,” and his subordinates at work shun him for his insensitive behavior. But he has continued to forge ahead on the path he believes in, believing that this is “the only right answer”…

But a turning point comes for him when his son tells him, “I… never want to become someone like my dad!!” So, a prejudiced man in his fifties makes a gay friend more than two decades younger than him, and his “common sense” begins to change!

Synopsis-

My Sweet Heart Jom

Idol Factory’s upcoming romance “My Sweet Heart Jom” premieres May 16 at 9:30 PM, with the Uncut version being available on their YouTube Channel. Adapted from the web novel “Wanjai Phuyai Jom” (หวานใจผู้ใหญ่จอม) by Naoto, the show stars Poom Nuttapart & Saint Suppapong as main leads.

Synopsis-

When he gets tangled up with a mafia boss’s son’s girlfriend and ends up in a scuffle, young Yothin needs to find a safe place. Instead of sending him overseas, his father decides to send him to the countryside! There, he stays in Bang Pho under the care of subdistrict headman, a close friend of his father. Fresh poster and official teaser released for upcoming KBL “Something is Not Right”. Adapted from the webtoon “Who Can Define Popularity?” (인기는 무언가 잘못되었다?) by Tak Bon (拓本), the show stars Choi Minho, Jung Je-hyeon & Ji Min Seo. Premieres on April 16th On Heavenly TV.

Synopsis-

Ba U and Hun have been friends since they were kids – but Ba U has harbored unrequited feelings for Hun for years. Eventually, Ba U tries to cut off his entire relationship with Hun, much to Hun’s confusion, who tries to act as if nothing has changed. In a last-ditch attempt to get over his feelings, Ba U takes his friend’s advice and asks Hun to date for a single week, which Hun accepts.

Synopsis-

This story follows the crown prince and heir Khanin of the Atsawathewathin royal family and his royal bodyguard Charan Phithakdheva, whose family has been the Atsawathewathin’s royal guard for decades. Khanin lives far away from Emmaly and he doesn’t care about seizing the throne. Charan, as the royal guard, has the duty to bring Khanin back to the country.
