We had a rather peaceful week with fewer updates dropping by from each quarter. The number of shows has also panned out with lesser releases last weekend. Let’s enjoy the peace until it exists before the downpour ensues!

The Wicked Game Series

Official poster released for DaouOffroad’s upcoming thriller romance “The Wicked Game Series”. Starring Daou Pittaya & Offroad Kantapon in lead roles. Premieres on 27th September.

Synopsis-

Police officer Than takes a gig guarding Pheem, the youngest son of a private hospital owner. On the hospital’s opening day, an assassination attempt is made against Pheem. Fortunately, Than comes to his rescue and—impressed by Than’s skills—Pheem asks him to be his personal bodyguard.

Than is an easygoing, straightforward guy. As he gets closer to Pheem, he finds the man to be quite the opposite of him—cold and cunning. When continuous attempts are made on his life and he’s exposed to more of the family’s cold relationship, he begins to see the hurt and loneliness beneath the cool exterior. Meanwhile, Than’s warmth and humour begin to thaw him.

Papa And Daddy’s Home Cooking

TV Asahi has announced the live-action adaptation of Yū Toyota’s Papa and Daddy’s Home Cooking (Papa to Oyaji no Uchi Gohan) manga that will premiere on its “Oshi Dora Saturday” programming block on October 4. Idol group timelesz member Sō Matsushima stars as Akira Sengoku, while Jin Shirasu stars as Masahiro Harumi. Nono Tanahashi plays Sengoku’s daughter Airi, while Sakura plays Jin’s son Seiichirō.

Synopsis-

The manga’s story centers on chiropractor Sengoku, who is suddenly entrusted by his ex-girlfriend with their child. He asks help from his friend Harumi, a manga editor who is also a single father of a son. The story follows their daily struggles as they begin living together with their children.

Official poster released for the upcoming historical romance “Love In The Moonlight”. Starring Pearl Satjakorn & Peak Peemapol in lead roles. Set to premiere on 15th September on Gagaoolala. Worship ceremony was recently held for the show.

Synopsis-

In 1995, following political change in Sariangkham, Prince Saenkaew of Nanta is sent to Bangkok to marry Pinanong—a union that would help transfer the family’s assets to Thailand. It isn’t an unfavourable match to Pinanong who’s had a crush on the prince since childhood. Her older brother Sasin, however, is suspicious of the arrangement. He’s fond of teasing the prince, and as Saenkaew opens up about his feelings having to marry as his duty to his family, the two grow close, their connection deepening into something altogether unexpected.

A Journey to Kill You

FOD has released the official trailer for the live action adaptation of the popular mafia BL manga, “A Journey to Kill You” (Anata wa Korosu Tabi). Adapted from the manga “Anata wo Korosu Tabi ” (あなたを殺す旅) by Asai Sai (浅井西), the show stars Wada Masanari & Takahashi Hiroto as main leads.

Synopsis-

The greatest love in Yakuza BL history. A devoted young boss x a member burdened with a secret mission; what is the destination of their journey together?

The young boss Kataoka, who is deeply compassionate and has a strong sense of chivalry, is loved by many members. However, due to a certain incident, he is ordered by the family head’s biological son, Kiriei , to go into hiding until things calm down. The one entrusted with taking care of Kataoka during this time is the member, Odajima, who had previously served as the family head’s aide. Odajima takes on the role of driver and assistant, and sometimes handles sexual needs, carrying out his duties without emotion. Takumi-kun Series

Official trailer released for the upcoming live action adaptation of “Takumi-kun Series”. Adapted from the novel series “Takumi-kun Series” (タクミくんシリーズ) by Gotoh Shinobu (ごとうしのぶ ), the show stars Shiozaki Daichi & Kato Daigo in lead roles.

Synopsis-

Shido Academy High School, a secluded all-boys boarding school built on a mountainside. Second-year student Hayama Takumi becomes roommates with Saki Giichi, nicknamed Gii, drawing jealous and hostile stares from other students.

In reality, Takumi and Gii are secretly lovers. While Takumi feels happiness, deep inside, he can’t shake the fear that “if I reveal everything about myself, he might come to hate me.” Gii, meanwhile, struggles with the pain of being so close yet unable to openly touch him, gradually losing sight of Takumi’s true feelings. Netflix Japan has announced renewal of their successful gay reality dating show “The Boyfriend”. Season Two is set to premiere in January 2026 and will feature the same set of commentators as the prequel alongside a fresh set of contestants.

Player Yuri Series

Official trailer released for the upcoming sapphic romance “Player Yuri Series”. Adapted from the novel “Player” (Player ไม่อาจห้ามรัก) by SIIX, the show stars Memi Muanfun & Ice Amena in lead roles.
