As expected, “GMMTV2026 Magic Vibes Maximized” was a grand event; not just in terms of event planning, but we are talking about the amount of shows too. GMMTV announced 35 new series, 22 of which are BL, 8 are GL and 5 other series. It is obvious that following the legalization of same-sex marriage, GMMTV is diving deeper into the market of queer representation. It is making them more money than heterosexual romances, and they are bringing in more talents to develop steadfast queer oriented content!

Bake Love Feelings

First introduced as a supporting couple in “Us Series”, View Benyapa & Mim Rattanawadee quickly grew popular because of their charming chemistry. They were next cast as a supporting couple in “Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist” and their chemistry demanded that they should be given a chance as main leads. So here we are, with View & Mim in their official first major project. They look good together, have a natural chemistry and also the fortitude to lead a series on their own!

Enemies with Benefits

This was the second GL show that caught my attention. Why you ask? Because it is the first time that Jan Ployshompoo will be leading a sapphic romance. As for her love interest, JingJing Prariyapit, she recently played a supporting role in “Whale Store xoxo”. Joining them will be the newly minted pairing of Ciize Rutricha & Kapook Ploynira. I have high expectations from Jan & JingJing, as is evident from their fiery chemistry in the trailer.

The moment Namtan Tipnaree stepped into the frame, I knew this show is going to be interesting. I just wasn’t expecting her to play a transgender character. After “Pluto” & “Girl Rules”, this Namtan’s third project with Film Rachanun. Junior Panachai will be playing Namtan’s original self who transitions to seek revenge from his wife and her stepfather. The premise is interesting and Namtan is one of those rare actresses that deliver a swoon worthy performance when it comes to portraying characters dripping in pain & despair.

Synopsis-

Poo Pan, who sees marriage as a “nightmare,” seeks revenge on the elite family that wronged her. She becomes Chanon’s secretary to get close to Arpo and expose the family’s hypocrisy. Her plan includes forcing Arpo to acknowledge another woman’s child as his, creating a weak spot in the family.

But an intense, dangerous attraction grows between Poo Pan and Arpo, forcing her to choose between revenge and a love that could become her downfall.

Mr. Kill

With Dew Jirawat playing his first BL role in “Burnout Syndrome”, there were constant catcalls for a show featuring him as the main lead alongside Tee Teeradech. The fand demand was heard and met, as Dew & Tee have been officially paired in the crime thriller “Mr. Kill”. So, this might not be a BL show per se, and get tagged as “Bromance”. But beggars can’t be choosers, so we learn to be happy with what we have, for now!

Synopsis-

While investigating a criminal case, a police officer finds a book that describes the exact crime. He decides to track down the author to uncover whether it’s just a coincidence — or if he’s the killer.

Arrest And Action

Another Bromance, because Sky Wongravee & Nani Hirunkit can’t seem to toe the line and enter BL fandom. After “High School Frenemy” & “Wu”, this is their third project together. And whilst fans are clamoring to see them act in a BL oriented show, Sky & Nani seem happy doing bromance tagged projects. Their breezing chemistry is natural and makes the fans hope for more, but they aren’t providing. A sad story indeed!

Synopsis–

Two lieutenants are assigned to go undercover in the entertainment industry to investigate a case. But their dynamic blows up — and now the two of them are forced to film a BL together.

I’ll Always Save You!

The way I screamed when I saw this trailer cannot be humanely described. And then the second thought was, is Jimmy Jitaraphol playing a bodyguard. Or rather he plays a police officer who is choosen to act as a bodyguard for the witness Pepper/Sornrak Falom aka Sea Tawinan. Also, Dunk Natachai will be returning to play the antagonist, after doing the same in “Revamp the Undead Story”. JimmySea specialize in playing the “Enemies to Lover’s” trope. So, obviously this storyline pertains to the same. JimmySea have a quirky, humorous chemistry and I enjoyed watching the trailer!

Synopsis-

A police officer is assigned to protect the singer who stole his girlfriend. But as they spend more time together, resentment slowly starts to turn into something else.

The Invisible Dragon

I will admit that I’m not a huge fan of FirstKhao. So, I wasn’t anticipating much from this show. But the moment, the trailer played out, I was instantly hooked. It can be attributed to the melancholic tones or the backdrop, but everything about this show seems magical. Starring First Kanaphan & Khaotung Thanawat in lead roles, the trailer paints a somber romance between the protagonists where First portrays the role of a lion dancer. Bright Rapheephong joins the casting as the third angle, which makes for an intriguing mix. These are some solid characterizations, and I’m looking forward to watching the actual drama soon!

A guy follows his family’s lineage by wearing the dragon robe at the temples. He then meets someone whose mission is to help him become the greatest dragon of all.

Unlucky Bae

When I first read that Mac Nattapat had joined the GMMTV camp, I was left wondering whom they will pair him with. Because obviously his “Addicted Heroin” co-star August Vachiravit didn’t join the company. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the trailer, because Mac seems to have a better chemistry with his new co-star Tham Tupthong than he did with August.

Earth Pirapat & Mix Sahaphap have a strange synergy with the word “Cupid”. This show strongly banks on their chemistry, with Ohm Thitiwat & Poon Mitpakdee joining as the supporting couple. The trailer have a ghostly, funny vibe, and I’m looking forward to the ensuing chaos as well as the budding romance!

A florist meets a funeral director at a funeral. When he suddenly gains the ability to see ghosts, he begins granting the final wishes of the deceased during their farewells.

One of the most successful pairings in GMMTV, watching Joong Archen romance Dunk Natachai never gets old. And this time, it is a corporate office setup. JoongDunk surely pick up the oddest storylines and it somehow, always works in their favor. I can’t wait to watch this one!

17th Spring Series

Chokun Puttipong & Aston Ratiphat recently made waves playing the main leads in the multiple ensemble teenage romance “Boys in Love”. They are also quite popular online, so I was wondering if they would be cast in another show. I wasn’t expecting them to lead a major project, so the announcement for this show was a pleasure surprise. My “ChokunAston” heart is full, and I’m also glad that the storytelling emphasizes the importance of proper education relative to the spread of HIV.

After watching Boun Noppanut & Prem Warut in “Revamp the Undead Story”, I prefer seeing them in mature settings than college romances. Especially Prem seems to bloom playing mature, older characters. So, obviously “Plan B to U” is high on my watchlist. No matter which universe, Boun’s character is always a goner when it comes to the role played by Prem. Their romance is amusing and endearing, entirely entertaining!

Gunshot

Gun Atthaphan is the “King” of dark, psychological characters. If you have watched him in “Not Me”and “The Blue Hour”, you will understand my point. Joining him on this revenge saga, is his official pair, Off Jumpol. I have lost count of the number of shows that they have starred in. Their “Burnout Syndrome” premieres tonight and Off plays a toxic character in this show. As such, “Gunshot” seems like a role reversal of sorts. Chimon Wachirawit & Title Kirati might be introduced as a new pairing in this show, not entirely sure about that though!

Synopsis-

After losing the love of his life, a young man begins a journey of revenge against everyone who hurt him. A police officer assigned to his case decides to try bringing him back to happiness.

Lovers & Gangsters

The way, I gasped watching this trailer should account for my shock or surprise. Obviously, it wasn’t because of Force Jiratchapong & Book Kasidet. They have starred in umpteen shows and this isn’t their first rodeo. I was actually surprised seeing the new pairing of Great Sapol & Bright Rapheephong. Since his pairing with In Sarin ended, there have been constant catcalls for his fresh pairing with Bright. Seems like, the GMMTV head honchos actually heard the fan’s demand and turned their fantasy into a reality. Both have always played dominant roles, so I’m not sure how this dynamic will work. But from the trailer, they sure seem to have a fiery chemistry, right at the offset!

I’m a resident WilliamEst fandom camper. I have been a huge fan of William Jakrapatr & Est Supha since their debut as an official pairing in “ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat”. William lives upto his reputation of being a global icon. His bubbly personality is infectious, and it matches well with Est’s calm demeanor. So, trust me “You Maniac” is high on my watchlist. I might just turn into Godzilla when the show premieres!
