It is mainly because the main protagonists are strong characters; you fall for them, root for their love to hold strong and yet you can’t argue whether their reconciliation is worthwhile affair or not?
Eight series ended this week, and we only have one new series beginning next week. I think we are finally getting some breathing room for a minute.
I enjoyed “The Proper Way to Write Love”, “Memoir of Rati”, and “The Promise of the Soul” enough to recommend them here. Each series had a unique premise and was easy to follow. I believe “The Proper Way to Write Love” had the best execution, but “Memoir of Rati” certainly follows close behind. Anyway, they would make a fun binge session for a weekend where you just need to relax.
The whirlwind of exclusives from the BL/GL doesn’t seem to be ceasing anytime soon. One show ends, and we have the announcement for the follow-up. Especially the Japanese shores are churning out dramas at an alarming rate!

But I was indeed pleasantly surprised and found this story to be exceptionally well done. It is not just entertaining, it is contemporary, relevant, and quite consequential.
