“Play Park” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

Can two people from different walks of life fall in love & build a life together?

This show is based on the age-old concept of variability in the protagonist’s lifestyles. They are as different as they can. Ing, is a hardworking-divorced mother and amusement park manager. Things get interesting when she gets entangled with Lilin, an heiress who wishes to rent the park where Ing works. The first two episodes build on their budding relationship and solemn romance. Even though they ebb and flow, our main leads have intriguing dynamics.

The Storyline & Chemistry-

The story focuses on Ing (Yada Narilya) who is a single mother, having divorced her abusive husband. Despite having a permanent job as an amusement park manager, she works all kinds of jobs to sustain herself and her son, Donut. She lives with her younger brother, Itt, who takes care of Donut whenever Ing is working outside. While working at a birthday party, Ing is saved by Lilin (Tan Duangkaew). Lilin is a sharp, no-nonsense heiress from a wealthy business family. Unbeknownst to them, Ing and Lilin get closer. Unexpectedly, things turn sour when Ing discovers that Lilin is trying to acquire her amusement park. Thus begins their cat and mouse chase. Ing tries everything to dissuade Lilin from acquiring the park. Even though she knows that Ing is playing silly tricks to stop her, Lilin remains calm and composed. Tan & Yada have a natural chemistry. Lilin is a very serious character, she barely cracks a smile in the most hilarious situations and yet Ing amuses her endlessly.

First Impressions

There isn’t much happening in the pilot episodes, but it was entertaining so far!!

Despite her horrid past, Ing remains positive and is a happy-go-lucky person. Lilin is attracted to her sweet & bubbly nature. They are complete opposites and yet, invariably drawn to each other. Ing’s cute baby adds an interesting charm to the storyline. By the end of the second episode, Ing’s ex-husband returns to terrorize her. It would be interesting to watch if Lilin gets involved and saves Ing.
