The sapphic version of “Only Friends” is here and….it is hella chaotic!!
So, when this project was initially announced during the 2025 lineup, the one thing that came to my mind was “Doesn’t this seem like a remake of Only Friends, with a female ensemble?”. Also, with director Jojo Tichakorn helming this project, the vibes are quite similar. We have three different couples, the pairings interlink; everyone gets cozy with anyone, until, of course, boundaries are drawn and they settle down. But until they do, it is chaos. The description does little to explain the madness that actually descends into the storyline, once the characters are introduced. We will try to make heads and tails of whatever happened in the first two episodes!!
Prim & Bambi

It is an ensuing war between ex-girlfriends Prim (Namtan Tipnaree) and Bambi (Film Rachanun). From what we learn in the first two episodes, Prim & Bambi were a very happy, sweet couple. Until Bambi went missing and ghosted Prim for almost a year. We don’t know what happened, but it is quite possible that Bambi’s super-successful mother, Yanin (Yuyee Alissa) forced her to move abroad. In the present, Bambi is back. Unlike her past self, she is rebellious and chaotic. From turning her mother’s fashion show into a disaster zone to suddenly surprising Prim, she does everything to shock people. Under her overzealous attitude, she is trying to hide some big secret which she can’t reveal. But the only thing that drives her, is Bambi’s desire to reunite with Prim. Prim still has deep feelings for her, but she hasn’t forgotten the betrayal and isn’t ready to forgive Bambi. Apart from that, she is having clandestine meetings with her stylist Gorya, who is hitting on her. This love triangle is messy and entertaining. Film does a fantastic job portraying Bambi’s defiant nature. I’m rather shocked by her performance!!
Shasha & Gorya

Milk Pansa & Love Pattranite are one of those popular couples who always stun you with their sweet chemistry onscreen. Sadly, it isn’t happening here. Milk is relegated to play a successful model, Shasha. She is popular, pretty, bold & daring. Shasha has a huge crush on the resident stylist in Prim’s crew, Gorya (Love). Unfortunately, Gorya doesn’t like her much and remains focused on pursuing Prim instead. She also assumes that, given her status, Shasha won’t be a loyal or dedicated partner. They keep dancing around each other, with Shasha doing her best to seek Gorya’s attention. There is chemistry, but it keeps getting sidelined because Gorya is too focused on pursuing Prim or engaged in catfights with Bambi. Oh also, Shasha & Bambi form a collaboration to keep Prim & Gorya away from each other.
Min & Praew

Thankfully, they are the only somber and non-dramatic couple in this show. Min (View Benyapa) is Prim’s business partner. At the behest, it is suggested that her sexual orientation is straight. She has been dating her boyfriend for quite a long time, but eventually breaks up with him because of his over-possessive attitude. Preaw (Mim Rattanawadee) is a freelance photographer working with Prim. She saves Min when her boyfriend abuses her at an office party, and they get acquainted. It is obvious that Preaw has grown feelings for Min, who is still hurting after her breakup. They make a nice couple, but their future is uncertain, given the fact that Min has only dated guys before.
First Impressions

There is drama, melodrama and an awful amount of hustling!!
Prim loves Bambi. That much is obvious, but I don’t think they will get back together until Bambi offers an explanation for her sudden disappearance. Gorya and Prim do have some chemistry, but it seems like Prim is using Gorya as a shield against Bambi. Shasha & Bambi banding together is entertaining. They have a great camaraderie. At times, you wish they were a couple instead. Min & Praew are sweet, and I’m hoping they get together. Fingers crossed!!
