So we have another Taiwanese BL with a dreaded ending in the making!!

So, I was quite happy after watching the pilot episodes, until I read the synopsis on MyDramaList. If you are like me, then you will spend an awful amount of time cheering on the main leads, only to fall in dismay on learning that one of the protagonists will end up dying. I watched the trailers next and though there is no such mention, that instant sense of foreboding won’t leave you. But don’t let the premise stop you from indulging in this bittersweet teenage romance. The important thing to be noted is that all three main leads were contestants on the survival show “Atom Boyz Season 2.” So, there is no need to be astonished by the fact that they look like pop idols. The storytelling has slight loopholes that aren’t easily discernible. Rest assured, you will like this show or at least the main leads!!

Storyline & Chemistry-

Zhang Jun Jia (Chang Chvn Chia) is a transfer student who is optimistic and cheerful but burdened with family and financial pressures. On the first day at his new school, Jun Jia has a chance encounter with He Yan Kai (Ho Yen Kai), the lead singer of the “Hot Music Club”. He is left stunned by Yan Kai’s handsome looks and spends his days zoning around, thinking about Yan Kai. Unable to resist the temptation and because he is interested in music, Jun Jia decides to join the Hot Music Club where he gets acquainted with Yan Kai. Their first meeting leads to a slight argument, whereby Yan Kai challenges Jun Jia to complete his song lyrics. Because of this disagreement, Yan Kai’s friends post pictures of Jun Jia while he is working his part-time job to humiliate him. Unbeknownst to Jun Jia, Yan Kai asks his friends to delete those posts & apologize to him. Jun Jia’s parents and uncle died in an accident. As such, he lives with his aunt, and they seem to have a somewhat awkward relationship. Yan Kai’s kindness touches Jun Jia’s heart. They grow closer over their shared passion for music. At the same time, Jun Jia also gets close with his classmate, Zheng Tiao Chin (Cheng Tiao Chin) with whom he seems to have a close childhood connection that he was unaware of. Chang Chvn Chia & Ho Yen Kai have amazing chemistry, just seeing them together is amazing!!

First Impressions

You will spend an awful amount of time, staring at the main lead’s handsome looks!!

He Yan Kai’s introduction shot leads the drama. Just like Jun Jia, you get enamored with this handsome teenager who seems mysterious yet kind. As they get closer, He Yan Kai begins to compare Jun Jia’s cuteness with that of his own cat. They have amicable chemistry and the budding romance is sweet (which is why the premise of MyDramaList will upset you). Watch it for the main leads with astoundingly good looks!!
