“Peach Lover” is a bold and emotional BL series that explores the thin line between fantasy and real love. The story follows a devoted fan, Po (Poom Nuttapart) who gets the chance to work closely with his idol Sasom (Ki Niwat Naknuan), a famous adult content creator. What starts as a professional arrangement slowly turns into something deeper and more complicated.
I don’t know if it’s just me or if others feel the same, but the series starts off quite strong and then gradually goes downhill. The first two to four episodes are engaging and full of potential, but after that, the story begins to drag and loses its original direction. I haven’t read the novel on which the series is based on, so I am stating my opinion based on the series only.
One of the best things about the series, despite its disappointing plot development, is the chemistry between the main characters. Both Niwat and Poom do a great job with the script they are provided. Their relationship feels natural, moving from awkward and exciting moments to more serious emotional struggles. I like how both Po and Sasom are comfortable with each other.

The drama stands out because of its mature themes. Instead of focusing only on sensual elements, it explores deeper aspects like identity, relationships, and self-acceptance without judgment. This adds a realistic layer and meaning to the story.
However, the pacing feels uneven, with several scenes coming across as slow, repetitive, or unnecessary. As I mentioned earlier in my first impressions, the story gives slight BJ Alex vibes, but I still don’t want people to make any kind of comparison with the manhwa. I also wish the side characters were better developed, as stronger supporting stories and chemistry could have made the series more engaging.

Overall, “Peach Lover” is not a light or fluffy romance—it’s deeper, more emotional, and sometimes uncomfortable. While the unique plot makes it worth checking out, better pacing and storytelling could have made it much stronger.
