So far, 2026 has been a great year for the BL/GL industry. We had a wide variety of productions that varied in quality & quantity. In today’s feature, we will be talking about the spiciest BLs in 2026, the ones that made you feel the scorching heat!!

Edge of Horizon

“Edge of Horizon” introduces the fresh pairing of Inn Jakkrasin & Ongsa Theethuch. Set in the 1930s, the story focuses on the forbidden love story between Prince Tinn & his servant, Phob. The show follows the underlying tension that erupted during the Siamese revolution, as a backdrop to frame their romance. Raised together, Tinn & Phob grew up together, their childhood friendship slowly blossoming into love. But they are torn apart when Tinn’s father & Phob’s mother learn about their relationship. Tinn sacrifices his love to safeguard Phob. A decade later, they reunite, but Phob has now raised to the ranks of a military man. Working alongside his superiors, Phob is engaged in a rebellion to overturn the government. His superiors urge him to get closer to Tinn to learn secrets related to the royals. Phob uses this chance to rekindle their old romance. Inn & Ongsa have a smoking hot chemistry, their NC scenes speak volumes about their camaraderie!!

The Prosecutor’s Proposal

One of the biggest hits in 2026, “The Prosecutor’s Proposal” hinges on the euphoric yet addictive chemistry between the lead pairing, Park Si Woo & Kim Yoon Sik. Set in the midst of a murder investigation, newly appointed investigator, Lee Chae Ha starts working under the aloof & exceedingly arrogant prosecutor, Ju Tae Seon. As they begin investigating a drug case, Lee Chae Ha is pulled into investigating the death of his own father, who was involved in a murder and committed suicide. Unbeknownst to him, Ju Tae Seon is actually the son of the victim, and he pulls Char Ha into this investigation to seek revenge. Initially, he viciously manipulates Chae Ha into submission, but as they spend time together, Ju Tae Seon begins to question his old convictions. Yoon Sik & Si Woo have a dynamic chemistry, their NC scenes scream sensuality and peak heat!!

Double Helix

Easily one of the most addictive hits in 2026, “Double Helix” has firmly cemented Ayden Sng & Lu Si Tong’s popularity. Introduced as a fresh pairing, Ayden & Si Tong have grown to become one of the most popular Chinese BL couples ever. Starring in a remake isn’t an easy job, there are bound to be comparisons. Spanning across decades, the story focuses on the toxic relationship between school friends, Cheng Yi Chen and Lu Feng. As they reunite in college, Lu Feng pursues Yi Chen until he accepts his feelings. Unfortunately, their parents catch wind of their romance and Lu Feng is shipped abroad. When he turns years later, they meet in the company which is taken over by Lu Feng. Fraught with misunderstandings, their relationship suffers from fears & insecurities. Despite that, they reconcile. Yet they are torn apart when Yi Chen’s mother forces him to get married. Years later, Yi Chen files for divorce and yet again, joins Lu Feng’s company. Their relationship takes a toxic turn as Lu Feng abducts him and tortures him mentally. “Double Helix” rests on the strong chemistry between Ayden & Si Tong. Their NC scenes were so spicy, you need to watch them with headphones on!!

Payback

Probably one of the spiciest BLs in history ever, “Payback” projects a strong chemistry between the lead pairing. Piqued as a revenge saga, the storyline focuses on Sun (Min Thanakorn), a 25-year-old deliveryman with a troubled past. Working as a debt collector in the past, Sun’s deeds caused his brother’s & mother’s death. Years later, he learns that his brother’s death was caused by his ex-boyfriend, Bank, who is now a popular actor working under Dream Entertainment. Seeking revenge, he attends the audition for the agency’s new actors. There he meets Jay (Toptap Jarukit), one of the directors at the agency who masks his true identity. As Sun goes through various trials & tribulations, his complicated relationship with Jay grows strong. The two find themselves entangled in an unusual partnership, forced to rely on each other to survive the fight. Toptap & Min have exceptionally strong chemistry, both onscreen & offscreen!!

Knot

As an ardent fan of American novels which depict werewolf history precisely, I’m really impressed with the kind of research that went into the making of the show. The recently concluded ABO Desire might have blown your mind, but there were abundant inconsistencies. “Knot” on the other hand, depicts werewolf lore correctly. Phatsa (Oat Pasakorn) grew up without ever knowing that alphas, betas, and omegas existed in this world. One night, his life was turned upside down when Nakhun (Boat Yongyut), a cold, stern True Alpha and the first heir of a powerful family, unexpectedly bit him, forging an unbreakable bond between them. Forced by a fated bond, they start living together, under the rules of a bond neither of them can defy. Phatsa, who knew nothing about this strange world, grows wary as he is unable to accept their connection naturally. Their temperaments differ and they often clash endlessly. But while spending time together, under the influence of pheromones, Phatsa slowly begins to accept their bond. This is Boat & Oat’s second project and their chemistry only grows stronger!!

Only Friends: Dream On

“Only Friends” franchise boasts melodramatic characters & overtly sensuous scenes. Like the previous edition, “Only Friends: Dream On” depends on the strong yet familiar chemistry between the lead couples. Jack (Earth Pirapat) is directing his ex Dean (Mix Sahaphap) on stage in a role that Raffy wants. Not only the role, but Raffy desires Jack as well. Unbeknownst to him, Raffy ends up having a one-night stand with Rome (Aou Thanaboon), Jack’s stepbrother. Dismissing Rome’s affections, Raffy continues to pursue Jack, who is indecisive about his affections for Dean. Part of the stage production of Romeo & Romeo is Tua (Gawin Caskey) who harbors feelings for starring actor and dancer Arnold (Joss Way-ar). Initially, Arnold only sees Tua as a good friend, but as they spend time together, they fall in love. Obviously, all three couples have abundant chemistry to drive the narrative forward.
