GMMTV, CHANGE2561 and One31 Thailand’s new procurement of artists has led to the development of quite a few pairings with a refreshing vibe. In today’s feature, we will be talking about their onscreen chemistry, fresh camaraderie & onscreen presence!!

Teshow Promsakha & Ping Krittanun, Match Point

Ping was previously paired opposite Meen Nichakoon, while he was managed by MChoice. After joining GMMTV, he was paired opposite Teshow Promsakha, who was introduced as main lead alongside Ping. I was quite apprehensive about their chemistry, but they are breaking barriers & making waves with “Match Point.” Ping stars as Sun while Teshow is playing the role of his frenemy, Bay. Both have been caught in the crossfire because of their feuding fathers. When Bay enters a tennis tryout to annoy Sun and Sun loses due to an injury, their fathers strike a ridiculous deal. Afraid of losing Sun, Bay does all kinds of annoying things to irritate him, before realizing & confessing his feelings to Sun. Teshow & Ping share a comfortable camaraderie which translates to great chemistry onscreen. In particular, Teshow has a great screen presence!!

August Vachiravit & Leng Thanaphon, Love Destiny

August Vachiravit was previously paired Mac Nattapat in the Thai remake of Chinese BL “Addicted Heroin.” The show became hugely popular, turning him into star overnight. Leng Thanaphon was paired opposite Ohm Pawat in “Kidnap.” Facing intense scrutiny from OhmNanon fans, their partnership was dissolved. Surprisingly, August was paired opposite Leng in the remake of the 2016 hit “Love Destiny”, even though they belong to two different companies. Leng stars as Great is a modern, optimistic surgeon from the year 2026. After an accident befalls him, he winds up in the body of Phor Gaew, a man living in the past, despised by all of Ayutthaya, but especially Phor Dech (August). I haven’t watched the original, so I have no idea about how the story has been rewritten to fit the BL genre. Dech & Great start as enemies, before slowly growing closer and falling in love. August & Leng have great chemistry, the romance is slow burn and endearing.

Tham Tupthong & Mac Nattapat, Unlucky Bae

Previously paired opposite August Vachiravit, Mac is currently starring in GMMTV’s recent release “Unlucky Bae” alongside rookie actor, Tham Tupthong. Mac stars as Rin, a fine arts student and heir to a family of sorcerers. When his boyfriend suddenly dumps him for his best friend, Rin is left grief stricken. In anger, he accidentally hits the wrong person, Khobfa (Tham), a third-year business administration student, with his spell. While he can’t undo the bad luck he’s brought about, he’ll try to use his own good luck to balance out Khobfa’s misfortune. Khobfa is a loner who has been branded as a unfortunate person by everyone on the campus. Everyone avoids him, so he is initially suspicious of Rin’s intentions when he follows him around. But Rin’s continued attempts to protect him slowly bridge the distance and Khobfa begins to enjoy his company. Tham & Mac have a sweet chemistry, they look so good together!!

Tee Boonyakait & Heng Thatpong, Don’t Be Too Emotional

Psychological thrillers are difficult to maneuver. Tee & Heng were first paired in the short drama “Love Truck.” Their chemistry was much appreciated, and they were cast as main leads in the highly anticipated adaptation “Don’t Be Too Emotional.” Jane Patrick (Tee Boonyakait) is a mysterious young man with a dangerously captivating charm. At university, he’s a living legend, someone who can make any wish come true, as long as you agree to a non-negotiable exchange. Things escalate out of control when Jennalee (Heng Thatpong), a handsome young football player, boldly approaches Jane Patrick. Jane hides his claws and begins to earnestly pursue Jennalee. As they get closer, Jennalee realizes that Jane is quite manipulative and dangerous. Despite being in a toxic relationship, Jennalee can’t help but be drawn to the strangely enigmatic Jane. Tee & Heng have a strong chemistry, their NC scenes are tastefully done.

Tee Teeradech & Dew Jirawat, Mr.Kill

Strangely enough, this is one of those shows that makes you wonder what the genre is exactly. Marketed as a bromance, Dew & Tee’s strong chemistry is drawing taciturn and fans are wondering why they are starring in a bromance instead of a BL. Kay (Dew Jirawat), a famous manga artist, finds himself under the watchful eye of Phat (Tee Teeradech), the inspector overseeing a serial murder case, after the victims’ profiles, killing methods, and crime scenes are found to bear a suspicious resemblance to scenes from Kay’s old work. Thrown together by circumstances, the two must join forces to uncover the truth, solve the case, and track down the killer. Initially apprehensive of Kay’s intentions, Phat slowly grows to trust him implicitly. Even when the circumstances paint Kay as the serial killer, Phat decides to protect him while pursuing the killer. I’m hoping GMMTV announces them as a BL pairing in the next lineup.

Yujeen Aeiyapol & Yugene Yannawat, Class Crush Crisis

CHANGE2561 has finally stuck gold with this young pairing. I’m not a huge fan of teenage romances and yet you can’t help but cheer for this fresh pairing. Lee-ith (Yujeen Aeiyapol) dreams of becoming a cool indie rock musician. Because of his complete disregard for his studies, his mother sends him to one of the country’s most prestigious girl’s schools, one that’s accepting male students for the first time this year. To improve his grades, he starts a new club with the other boys in the school. In the midst of this chaos, he keeps clashing with Putter (Yugene Yannawat) who coincidentally ends up becoming his roommate. When Lee-ith’s best friend suffers from heartbreak, he makes a strict rule- none of the club members are allowed to date each other. However staying in close quarters makes Lee-ith fall in love with Putter. Our new couple have an endearing chemistry. I’m totally in love with this fresh pairing.

Zhou Ning Jia & Guan Yue, Bittersweet Love

Zhou Ning Jia & Guan Yue are the first couple in the history of Chinese BL to star in consecutive shows. While their recently concluded drama “Bittersweet Love” is still garnering strong ratings, it is rumored that they are already in talks for a second show. Lu Xiao Fan’s (Guan Yue) life takes an unexpected turn when he leaves his rural roots to marry into a prominent, wealthy Beijing family. Expecting a life of luxury and prestige, he soon discovers his marriage is a sham, because his wife is already pregnant with someone else’s child. His fortunes shift, however, when he crosses paths with his new brother-in-law: the sophisticated Bei Lu Qing (Zhou Ning Jia). Drawn into Lu Qing’s world, Xiao Fan desperately tries to find his place in the man’s life, clinging to him helplessly. Through a series of awkward trials and mounting pressures, Xiao Fan is forced into the unconventional role of Lu Qing’s lover. Initially hesitant, Xiao Fan is drawn to Lu Qing’s resilient nature and ends up falling in love with him. Zhou Ning Jia & Guan Yue have an addictive chemistry, you can’t get enough of them!!

Boss Patthakarn & Tongtong Kitsakorn, Nour The Series

The most anticipated release of 2026 has premiered to high expectations and BossTong’s chemistry is lit. TongTong became popular when he starred in the lakorn “To Sir, with Love.” He was recently seen in a negative role in “The Wicked Game.” Quite a few ardent fans were expecting his entry into the BL genre and “Nour The Series” has made quite a splash. TongTong stars as “Ken” Kiran Amatanathi or Nour, a mythical being who has been alive for more than two centuries. After repeatedly trying to kill himself and failing each attempt, he has accepted his fate and now works as a forensic pathologist with the police department. While chasing a cold case involving a serial killer, he gets entangled with the enigmatic Captain Ken. Both are drawn to each other, but James doesn’t trust Ken initially. Ken forces his hand and as they work together, James begins to follow his lead. Boss & TongTong have amazing chemistry, and I’m sure they will be winning hearts very soon!!

Inn Jakkrasin & Ongsa Theethuch, The Edge of Horizon

The current star couple of One31 Thailand, Inn Jakkrasin & Ongsa Theethuch, are making waves with their solemn chemistry. Starring in a historical, Inn & Ongsa had difficult roles to portray. As children, Prince Tinn (Ongsa Theethuch) and the servant’s son, Phob (Inn Jakkrasin) were inseparable — their innocent first love blooming quietly within the palace walls. But their bond was torn when Tinn’s father & Phob’s mother forced them apart. Feeling distraught by the class divide which separates them, Phob returns a decade later as a military officer who advocates change against the royal order. When they reunite, Phob uses this chance to get closer to Tinn and gain useful information for his faction. As the government changes hands, Tinn & Phob’s relationship is tested again. Inn & Ongsa have a beautiful chemistry, I’m always left spellbound whenever they are together!!
