What happens when a sexy older man meets a cute boy with one specific fantasy??

“Are the Sexy Buttocks Not Good?” was a fun ride, with a casting that actually made sense. Adapted from the manga “Ecchi na Oshiri ja Dame desu ka?” (えっちなお尻じゃダメですか？) by Hatoya Tama (鳩屋タマ), the show stars Kimisawa Yuki as the overtly flirty yet charming CEO, Okumi Hideaki & Sakai Sho as the admissibly shy university student Hisaki Ainosuke. Their dynamic was visibly different because of the 16-year age gap. I have read the manga, but the actors have played their roles well. While their age difference is obvious, their variant personalities & perspectives were embraced by the actors. Okumi’s quirky attitude balances Hisaki’s adorably innocent attitude. Most times, in shows with a shorter format, the runtime works against them. Kudos to the cast and crew, because the storytelling was streamlined to cater to broader audiences.

Storyline & Chemistry-

University student Hisaki Ainosuke (Sakai Sho) has a specific fantasy. He wants to experience anal orgasm, although he isn’t sure if that makes him gay. While scrolling through an app to find potential dates, he is groped by an older guy on the train. Surprisingly, another gentleman steps in while advising him that he should refrain from using those kinds of apps while using public transport. Shockingly, the gentleman does a double take and leaves him with his Line ID, calling Hisaki cute. Hisaki spends a long time, wondering if he should use this opportunity, until the older gentleman walks into the cafe, where Hisaki works. Their chance encounter leads to an one-night stand. Next morning, Hisaki is late for his job interview. As he rushes into the interview hall, he is shocked to find the man with whom he had a one night stand. Okumi Hideaki (Kimisawa Yuki) is the company’s president, and he thoroughly enjoys Hisaki’s flustered expressions. As they spend time together, Okumi slowly falls for Hisaki’s innocence and Hisaki enjoys Okumi’s flirtatious presence.

There is nothing complicated in this show, except for the third angle in the romance. Okumi’s nephew joins the company as an intern and falls for Hisaki, pursuing him unsuccessfully. Yuki & Sho have a natural chemistry, their NC scenes are tastefully done.

Final Impressions

Okumi & Hisaki find love in their own ways, after giving up on their fears & insecurities!!

Hisaki has a difficult time accepting the fact that he is dating the company’s president. He keeps questioning his self-worth while Okumi reassures him that he is definitely worth it. Okumi is a widower who has spent the last decade alone, after his wife’s death. He lives with a lot of guilt, Hisaki helps him overcome his past fears. This was a breezy ride, so buckle your seatbelts and enjoy the ride!!
