Love Is Better the Second Time Around Season 2

Adapted from the manga series “Koi wo Surunara Nidome ga Joto” (恋をするなら二度目が上等) by Kinoshita Keiko (木下けい子), Hasegawa Makoto & Furuya Robin return to reprise their roles. Two years later, Miyata Akihiro and Iwanaga Takashi are happily living together, having finally found the loving relationship they had long been searching for. But even as they grow closer, Miyata realizes there are still parts of Iwanaga’s past he knows nothing about. When Iwanaga publicly reveals in a magazine interview that he has “someone important” in his life, his former partners unexpectedly reappear, stirring up old emotions and putting the couple’s relationship to the test. As Miyata is introduced to Iwanaga’s ex-lovers who are highly accomplished, he grows anxious and feels insecure. No matter how much Iwanaga assures him, Miyata can’t help but feel jealous. Makoto easily slips into his character as he portrays Miyata’s increasing unease. Robin remains calm and composed while depicting Iwanaga’s emotional turmoil.

Mr. Fanboy

Adapted from the novel “Mr. Fanboy” (Mr. Fanboy #รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย) by littlebbear96, the show stars Auau Thanaphum & Save Worapong as main leads. Wan, a devoted fanboy of actor Nine, is mistaken by Third—Nine’s acting partner—for a sasaeng fan. The misunderstanding should have ended there, but Wan unexpectedly gets the chance to audition for and star in the same Y series as Third and Nine. As Wan navigates this unfamiliar world, his feelings become increasingly complicated. Third, whom he once hated, unexpectedly becomes the person who is always there to help him, while Nine—the celebrity Wan has always admired—gradually reveals himself to be someone he never expected. Save is doing a good job of portraying Wan’s confusion as he tries to adapt to the entertainment industry and the evils of fan service. Auau gives a measured yet compelling performance as Third. James Supamongkon is doing a fantastic job as the antagonist, Nine. The entire storyline rests on these three and their addictive camaraderie!

Not Yours

Adapted from the web novel “Not Yours” (Not Yours เมื่อผมไม่ใช่) by BamBam (แบมแบม), the show has a Thai-Chinese ensemble which includes Ross Chen, Shogun Paramee, Xuan Hao & Jerry Loong in lead roles. The pilot episode only briefly introduces the characters and gives a glimpse into their dynamics. Pao Bei & his best friend, Jiang Wei Bang, work at a restaurant to make ends meet. One day, he has an unexpected encounter with P’Eng, a wealthy heir who has an unpredictable personality. They end up having an argument, as Pao Bei escapes from P’Eng’s clutches. Jiang Wei Bang coincidentally reunites with his former rival Li Mi Lan, who is now a popular celebrity. The first thing that I did after watching the pilot episode was check the nationalities of the main leads. Except for Shogun, the rest of them belong to the Chinese industry. So Shogun’s voice is mostly dubbed. The Thai-Chinese combination is quite un, especially Ross & Shogun; they have a natural chemistry.

Oops! Mysterious Sounds

Adapted from the web novel “Mysterious Sounds” (สืบจากเสียง Mysterious Sounds) by Karnsaii, “Oops! Mysterious Sounds” introduces the fresh pairing of Namna Thanthai & PK Patarachai. It is a typical “Enemies to Lover’s” trope with a dash of murder mystery. Shy student Podduang can’t seem to catch a break—when his crush on his straight best friend starts to become too obvious, he pretends that he really likes Jinna, an attractive but haughty mutual friend. The only glitch is that everyone knows he hates Jinna. Podduang is also a big fan of BL actor Anda, who studies at the same university, and is friends with Jinna. Things escalate out of control when Anda comes as gay and mentions his non-celebrity boyfriend in an interview. The pilot episodes build up on the tension between Pod & Jinna. Pod might keep saying otherwise, but Jinna has a weird effect on him. Namna & PK have a natural chemistry that is worth exploring!!

Police in Love

If you thought that Yin Anan’s comic timing was quite apparent in “Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!”, then you are in for a surprise. “Police in Love” reflects a whole new personality that Yin embodies with elan. Adapted from the novel “Phanraya Sarawat Thia” (ภรรยาสารวัตรเธียร์) by kanola, Yin stars opposite War Wanarat. Inspector Thiartha’s mother gives him an ultimatum. To counteract his bad luck, he’ll have to marry someone born Monday, the thirteenth of October. As if that weren’t hard enough, their first and last names must contain the Thai consonant ro ruea. Turns out that his junior, Police Senior Sergeant Major Mangkorn, was born on exactly that day, name as prescribed, perfect to the last item. Their deal is simple: six months, then divorce. It is obvious that Mangkorn has feelings for Thiartha which he hides well, assuming that Thiartha is straight & also a playboy. But as they spend time together, Thiartha starts paying attention to Mangkorn, who is left flustered. Chemistry was never a problem with YinWar. Their new comic avatars are a welcome relief.

The Crow Club

“The Crow Club” is messy and entertaining, while tightly packing four different stories. Apart from Sailub Hemmawich & Pon Thanapon, the show fronts CHANGE2561’s fresh pairings, which include Milk Natchanon- Newyear Nawaphat, Pop Pataraphol- Pop Pataraphol & Otto Phachara- BJ Nattanon. “The Crow Club” is a secret bar that serves as a gathering place for a motley crew of eccentric misfits known as “The Crows.” Led by Linda, the club’s wildly unconventional owner, they take on the strangest jobs that no one else would do — for clients willing to pay a hefty price. Van, a brilliant young engineer believing firmly in science, is hired by architect Rakkhun to play his boyfriend. The mission? Lure away a vengeful ancestral ghost who has been sabotaging Rakkhun’s love life. Van wants to study in Japan, so he takes this job to earn some fast money. But spending time with Rakkhun, brings them closer. Also, they try all sorts of ridiculous tricks to provoke the ghost who doesn’t seem to care about their romance. Milk & Newyear have a cute chemistry. The show has 16 episodes, which means each couple gets 4 episodes.
