Just when we thought the BL/GL world was on a upwind, the said genre startled us with another outpour of new dramas/updates. However insignificant they might, they are adding to the current taciturn, and we can look forward to some blissful months ahead!
Black Sheep and ABS-CBN Studios are back with the second season of their queer reality dating series Sparks Camp. Beating major competition from their Korean counterpart, “His Man Season Three”, Sparks Camp 2 has grown bolder and versatile. The contestants this season seem much more mature and yet vulnerable; that’s as real as it gets on reality television. They had some interesting stories to share and I like the Season Two contestants far better than the prequel; it could be because of the slight change in the format too. Most dating shows follow a formulaic concept, tried and tested, which gets boring as time passes. The first two episodes had some surprising elements, so let’s get down to the business of reviewing. After a peaceful weekend, we saw a sudden influx of announcements and fresh updates. Even though the Pride Month is over, the BL/GL world is keeping the spirit alive. In the midst of the sudden downpour, let’s sit for a tell-a-tale.

The low energy strumming through the BL world bought few updates and exclusives. But don’t let that disappoint you; we got some exciting announcements that will definitely strike a chord with your heartstrings.
Unassumingly, the weekend didn’t bring much news about upcoming shows. As the Pride Month comes to a joyful end, the momentum seems to be down. That doesn’t mean, we are slacking at our job; neither are the social media outlets who are campaigning their new shows gearing up for release. All in all, this was an eventful month!
Dreams are pretty fickle unless they are recognized as a fervent reality. In the past, I have interviewed quite a few US-based MM Romance authors who were fascinated with the BL culture, either because they drew inspiration from them or they were dormant fans of the said genre. In the midst of them, we have one novelist who not only dared to publish a BL novel while being based abroad but has also realized the dream of adapting her original work.
A gripping tale set in Bangkok’s nightlife, featuring an unprecedented partnership between two sworn rivals, Chanele Ramos’ “Allure of the Siren” captures human connection, resilience, and the ceaseless pursuit of truth. We sat down for a tell-a-tale with the busy writer who is currently filming the adaptation in Thailand.
