“Eye Contact The Series” Series Review (Ep.1 to 6)

This series starts very simply with Nu (Tora Toranin), who is considered a nerd because he wears glasses and gets in a minor accident after being hit by a car. The car belongs to our main lead, Sun (New Chunnawan) who is studying medicine in the same university as Nu. Moving on, Nu makes new friends in university who are connected to Sun’s friend or ex-friend Chain (Jame Supawit), which results in them crossing paths a lot and then results in them having drunken sex. From the first two episodes, it feels like Sun and his friends group as well as Chain are having some issues or there is some betrayal involved or maybe it’s a simple misunderstanding. Let’s see what the upcoming episode results in. Though the story of our main two leads isn’t very gripping or exciting, it is engaging!

“I Promise I Will Come Back” Series Review (Ep.1 to 8)

Every once in a while, something comes along that touches your soul in a way that you were not expecting. I am quite old, and I have buried many experiences in my life, but this small gem helped me to recall lost memories that were uncannily close to the content of this story. Perhaps I am alone here, but I simply loved this story for its romance. It portrays romance in its purest form – carefree, youthful, deciduous. In a way that only happens once, if ever, in one’s lifetime. If you are fortuitous enough, it is serendipitous, intense, fervid, and fills your life with a burst of joy that you will never ever experience again. It is your first love. But your first love is with a person who is everything you dreamt that paragon would be, wanted to be. He was your knight in shining armor, your Prince Charming. Your Romeo. Your Adonis. Everything you imagined a fairytale love experience would be. I remembered mine and my experience was such ecstasy and therefore, I understood this BL series at its core. While my ending was certainly not as dramatic, my fervor was. Despite the diegesis’s many flaws, I only saw its beauty and the passion for the underlying message of its storybook love. I wish others would see it in this light as well.

“My Stubborn” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)

Adapted from the novel “Nai Hia Bok Mai Chop Dek” (ไหนเฮียบอกไม่ชอบเด็ก) by MissPa_Ob (นางสาวผอบ), “My Stubborn” had a clear directive & motion. It was NOT to repeat M Flow Entertainment’s past mistakes. Most shows from the said agency have poor production value & highly enthusiastic sex scenes. But sex can only sell so far; doesn’t mean “My Stubborn” doesn’t delve on it. Almost 80% of the narrative includes unhindered & unapologetic sex scenes between the main leads. I’m yet to find an episode where they weren’t kissing or having a full-blown sex session. Sex plays an important role in most M Flow Entertainment’s dramas. And yet, “My Stubborn” was far better than the precedents set by the company with their prior productions. The high ratings could very well be attributed to the high class chemistry between the main leads, Boat Yongyut & Oat Pasakorn.

“Loy Kaew First Love” Series Review (Ep.1 to 6)

This series can best be described by a quote from Charles Dickens, “A Tale of Two Cities” – “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” It had an exceptional storyline only to slip into banality and nonsensical story arcs. Here is yet again another Thai series that simply had no idea what a great diegesis it actually had. If only they had followed through with their main title.

“My Sweetheart Jom” First Impressions (Ep.1 to 5)

I went into My Sweetheart Jom expecting a light, slightly chaotic romantic comedy with a countryside twist. What I found instead was a slow burn gem with a gentle heartbeat, one that’s surprisingly grounded, deeply charming, and quietly thoughtful in how it builds character and community.

“My Golden Blood” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)

This is it! This is the time for the verdict.

I’ve been waiting for “My Golden Blood” since it was announced in 2023. The pilot trailer was chef’s kiss, and as a die-hard vampire lore enthusiast, I was buzzing. Now that I’ve devoured all twelve episodes (more than once, mind you), here’s my final, fang-filled verdict.

“Reset The Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

I love me a good go-back-in-time-to fix-your-mistake BL!!

Amongst my chaotic week between “Pit Babe Season 2” and “The Next Prince” came another BL into my life. Honestly I had seen the pilot and kept it in my ‘binge watch when the entire show is finished’ list but seeing all the clips of it all over the internet thought maybe starting it now wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
