Just plain weird. Honestly, there are not many instances that give me the ‘willies’, but watching this series frankly did. Everything about this story left me disquiet. And the way the narrative was fashioned felt like what the two protagonists were somehow involved in, between the two of them, was ‘dirty’. Therefore, the whole drama felt – unclean. Sadly, it did not need to go down that road.

BL Mini-Bytes
With quite a few shows reaching their finale last weekend, we can look forward to some early releases from various media platforms. Some of those are shows that you have long anticipated and are eagerly awaiting their release!
Top 5 BL Dramas to Watch in 2025 (So Far)
We are halfway through 2025 and the stunning display of sensual yet high quality narratives has left most audiences satisfied. It could be attributed to the definitive pacing & better script writing skills which coupled with good acting talents have elevated the entire experience. The sudden downpour of shows is indeed questionable. Are they worth your time? Are we finally stepping out of the repetitive patterns? Is BL offering more than subpar content? Let’s figure out the answers to these questions with a quick glance at some of my favorites from this year!
“Golden Platform” Series Review (Ep.1 to 43)
“SALUTE to the unsung heroes who silently contribute to society. SALUTE to you and me who never give up in adversity.” – Quote from Golden Platform

BL Week in Review
This is a special week. I am including two extra days of reviews because on Tuesday, July 8, I am flying to New York to spend ten days. While I’m there, I will be attending “The Heart Killers” Fan Meeting and “Timeless Thai Taste” 2025. I will be doing a special article when I come back about those events, since I will not have watched many (if any) BL series while I’m there.
BL Week in Review
Things settled down a bit this week, but I still think there are too many series on Fridays to make watching everything the same day super enjoyable, so I think I’m going to have to drop some, and the first two that come to mind are “Pitbabe” and “Knock Out”. It’s not that they’re not well-done; they just bring me the least amount of joy. I may watch them on Wednesdays, when there’s not a lot airing.
BL Mini-Bytes
We had some solid reckoning in the first half of 2025 and the second half will probably live up to the expectations with umpteen amount of BL/GL dramas gearing for release. We are actually losing count of premieres happening, shows waiting to be released, it is chaotic to say the least!
“Jian Hun” Series Review (Ep.1 to 25)
I downright fall under the spell of certain themes in either movies or series. This series had two of my favorites. Time travel and swashbuckling epic times full of exotic and romantic lore, legends, and traditions. And especially given my naïve Western upbringing, I am heart and soul smitten by Chinese fable and mythology. This series transported me back into time, like with the character, where I too could imagine myself beside them. Perhaps I have always secretly harbored a desire to be a valiant hero from another culture in the past.
BL Week in Review
Today was a week full of memorable moments. We had our first-ever Period BL from GMMTV. Memoir of Rati has the potential to be a gem of a series. China is slaying with Revenged Love, and social media is in an uproar. Can you believe we are getting twenty-four full-length episodes? I haven’t seen the original, but I’ve heard good things.
“Infidelity: It’s A Disease” Series Review (Ep.1 to 4)
Colorful, creative, and comical. This is the best way to describe this short BL series from China. It most assuredly will make you smile. This is a series that feels ordinary in the sense that I can see this happening in real life as the story does have an air of plausibility about it.
