“What Did You Eat Yesterday” Movie Review
Summary:
Kakei Shiro is a 45-year-old lawyer who works at a small law firm. He is good at cooking and a meticulous and thrifty person who keeps the monthly food budget to 25,000 yen. Shiro’s daily routine is to leave work on time and head to a discount supermarket nearby. His partner Yabuki Kenji is an affable hairdresser in his 40s.
The two of them share a two-bedroom apartment and the finer points of two men living together come up at the dining table every day. Although two of them have been in a relationship for three years and Kakei’s parents know he is gay, Kakei never shares the fact that he is gay or Kenji is his partner to anyone.

“Be My Favorite” First Impressions (Ep.1 to 3)
Premiering on May 26th, 2023, the time traveling romance “Be My Favorite” which is the story of a shy man named Kawi (Krist Perawat) who is in love with his ideal woman, Pear (Aye Sarunchana) seems at best a star crossed love story. But that is probably more due to his inability to think positive of himself. Next to them is Pisaeng (Fluke Gawin), a popular athlete who Pear secretly holds a torch for. When Kawi is chosen to be Pear’s secret buddy, he uses the role as a means to romance her. But due to circumstances out of his control, he misses his chance. An act of kindness grants him the ability to travel back and forth through time, to fix things, but can he, or is fate moving as its own pace?

A Soulful Exchange with “Sparks Camper” Justin Macapallag
Dating shows are mostly messy or chaotic, with a flair for theatrics that borders on high end drama or notoriety. Whilst queer dating shows like “I Kissed a Boy”, “Dating Around” and the upcoming “The Ultimatum: Queer Love”, “I Kissed a Girl” have always been the usual norm; Asian BL industry had zealously kept away from this trend in the past. Gone are those days and now the Boy’s Love universe has joined the reality show bandwagon. Following into the footsteps of Korean dating shows like “His Man” & “Merry Queer”, Philippines has added flavor to this genre with their very own spicy sojourn. Titled “Sparks Camp”, the dating show is an impactful journey where the contestants go through a series of challenges, so they can find the “Mutual Spark”.
