This is a special week. I am including two extra days of reviews because on Tuesday, July 8, I am flying to New York to spend ten days. While I’m there, I will be attending “The Heart Killers” Fan Meeting and “Timeless Thai Taste” 2025. I will be doing a special article when I come back about those events, since I will not have watched many (if any) BL series while I’m there.

Top 5 BL Dramas to Watch in 2025 (So Far)
Let’s be honest, trying to narrow down a list of favorite BL dramas for 2025 (thus far) is tough. Every series that’s aired (or is still airing) brings something different to the table and has an audience that enjoys what it’s offering. And with so many exciting dramas still to come this year, calling anything a definitive “best” feels a bit premature.

We had some solid reckoning in the first half of 2025 and the second half will probably live up to the expectations with umpteen amount of BL/GL dramas gearing for release. We are actually losing count of premieres happening, shows waiting to be released, it is chaotic to say the least!

Recently, a connection was made quite surreptitiously between The BL Xpress and Cowboys Tokyo, the producer of the recent gay independent film called AICHAKU. Aichaku, in Japanese means, literally ‘attachment’. Specifically, an attachment to an object that is more like a feeling of affinity – what the object means. It takes on an emotional attachment.

We had a pretty crowded week with Updates dropping left and right. It is difficult to keep up with the workflow with quite a few show goes through their fitting & read through sessions. It takes on an emotional attachment. And this movie is certainly that. It is a movie filled with a lot of emotional bonds.
