I was lucky that this week I had a five-day holiday because there were five premieres. If I had to rank them by level of enjoyment, it would be as follows:
1) My Sweetheart Jom
2) Knock Out
3) Be Mine, Be Yours
4) Eye Contact
5) Loy Kaew First Love

Adapted from Moscareto’s web novel Eul’s Love, Business As Usual is a six-episode Korean BL that tells the story of Kim Min Jun (played by Chae Jong Hyeok) and his ex-boyfriend, Jin Hwan (Seong Seung Ha), who suddenly reappears in his life after an eight-year silence. It’s a reentry that’s anything but subtle. The same Jin Hwan who once lit up Min Jun’s world is now walking the same office halls, wearing the same company ID, still as sharp and put-together as ever. For Min Jun, who’s spent years treading water in a job that feels more like a placeholder than a career, Jin Hwan’s return is like throwing a stone into a still pond, ripples of old feelings, unresolved hurt, and a longing he can’t quite swallow all rise to the surface.

I think the most exciting thing that happened for me this week was the release of the trailer for “The Ex-Morning”. It was like waking up on Christmas. I’m so excited to see Krist and Singto back on the screen again. I feel like the new trailer gave all kinds of tidbits that I’m curious to see play out. Will their on-screen chemistry be as hot as their stage chemistry?
In the world of BL dramas, no trope hits harder—or messes with your emotions more—than the stepbrother bl storyline. Two boys, suddenly bound by family ties, struggling with their feelings and identities, all while living under the same roof? It’s messy, intense, and undeniably addictive.
I write this article on Saturdays, and the most anticipated series of the year so far dropped its first episode today. I must say, it lived up to my expectations. If you can, watch it in real time. I think we are going on quite a journey, and interacting with everyone else who’s also watching is part of the experience of a BL fan. It can be scary to write into the void and respond to strangers, but I discovered that the BL community is most welcoming.
We had an immensely slow week dragging by, without much relevant announcements. It might be because last weekend was lit with the premiere of “Pit Babe The Series Season Two” & “The Next Prince Series”- two of the most anticipated releases this year. Do comment and let us know how the pilot episodes fared? Were they on par with your expectations? We are excited to hear expert opinion!

When we last left Weak Hero, love had lost the battle but not the war.
