Love writes its own story. No one journey looks the same, yet every heart chases some version of a happily ever after, whether it lasts a lifetime or becomes a memory we carry with us. That Summer leans heavily into this theme, weaving together several lives whose paths cross on an island shaped by grief, healing, and the unexpected ways love finds us.

“That Summer” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)
We’re all fighting to come to terms with something, whether it’s life changes, taking the next step in a relationship, or responsibilities we’re not sure we want. And that’s precisely the kind of turmoil the Thai BL That Summer throws its viewers into.
“We Are” Series Review (Ep.5 to 16)
“We Are” is a medley of romantic tropes and sappiness that is very welcome in the BL scene. It is the quintessential romcom, an easygoing series about a group of friends who find love and support each other throughout the process. “We Are” is refreshing and fun and even though it doesn’t give you any drama, the romance and friendship are enough to drive this 16-episode series, and the different couples give us a wide range of romantic tropes, there is no screen time wasted because all the stories develop at different paces, keeping us engaged from start to finish. As a big fan of slice of life shows with minimum conflict, “We are” was such a treat, and I hope there is more demand for such low stakes BLs in the midst of all the high drama, high production and educational ones.
Fresh BL/GL Pairings That Are Slowly Making Their Mark- Edition I
While fan service is an integral part of the Thai BL industry, there are very few BL pairings that live upto the expectations of the avid fans. It could be attributed to the off-the-charts chemistry between them, the camaraderie they share off-screen and the stories they choose. “We Are Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 to 4)
At first glance, “We Are” seems like a cliché bubblegum show without much substance, however, as you delve deeper into the show, without any cynicism it is pure swoon worthy romance and presents a genre I quite like which is equivalent to the early 2000s chick flicks. Although it doesn’t have much to say or has no edge, it gives us heartwarming love stories, actual courtship and although there are elements of slow burn romance in some of the couples, the show balances it out by giving us different solid story lines to follow that are all wholesome and you can’t help but root for each single couple. Comfort shows with low stakes, that are written to make the audience feel good are severely underrated and its easy to write them off as bubblegum shows that lose flavor quickly, however, you cannot deny that when they are sweet, they are indeed sweet.

“My School President” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)
On 24 February, fans of the hit GMMTV series My School President said goodbye to TinnGun, ThiewProm, SoundWin, and a plethora of incredibly memorable characters who, over the last twelve weeks, have made us laugh, cry, and even shout out at our television screens. In my humble opinion, this series was the best of everything GMMTV has ever produced. From the chemistry of the leads to the catchiness of the series soundtrack, it’s easy to see how My School President became the talk of the industry, setting up Gemini and Fourth to take the crown as the heirs to the throne of the BL industry.

My School President: Midway Thoughts
With Episode 6 of GMMTV’s High School Music series My School President (แฟนผมเป็นประธานนักเรียน) we’ve reached the halfway point. While from episode-to-episode reviews, you can probably already tell my feelings on this series, but I’m going to reiterate them here anyway – because, well, I love writing about this series.
