This week was crazy with a capital C. I started my yearly countdown, and let me tell you, it has been a bit intense on the social media front. The two hashtags are #BLFavs2025 and #BL2025Wrapped. Both are super fun, and I’m so glad I can contribute something to the community. That being said, this article is shorter than usual.
With the news surrounding various lineups dying down, we are met with more exclusives from all over the Asian subcontinent. It seems the buzz surrounding the BL/GL world doesn’t seem to die!
Comedy BLs are rare gems that are hard to find. To get the comic timing right is a skill that many actors can’t accomplish. So, this genre is barely surviving in the BL industry. But that doesn’t mean, we don’t have good shows that are lighthearted & have an irresistible comedic flair!
I’m absolutely appalled by the fact that I forgot to review this show!

Christmas came early for me last week with the reveal of the 2026 and beyond lineup for GMMTV. They gave us thirty queer stories. Twenty-two were BL, eight were GL, and one was a stage musical. Having that many series revealed also came with a certain amount of controversy.
With the hype surrounding GMMTV’s 2026 Lineup slowly dying down, we still had lots of exclusives, dropping from all quarters. Some new, some anticipated. The BL/GL world is buzzing with excitement, and we are here to deliver the good news!
You might get reported to HR if you strike up a romance in your office, but these guys are luckier. I have a soft spot for workplace romance, much more so than school romances. All of these recommendations have happy endings. And there’s one show with a throuple lurking in this list.

That Summer leans heavily into this theme, weaving together several lives whose paths cross on an island shaped by grief, healing, and the unexpected ways love finds us.
GMMTV’s attempts to quantify their queer production is indeed praiseworthy. But can quantification guarantee quality as well? With 32 dramas up for production next year and quite a few from the 2025 Lineup, time management will be a big problem. Also, they have been recruiting new talents big time, but can they successfully manage these many artists and create new content for all of them? That remains to be seen!
