BL Week in Review

Christmas came early for me last week with the reveal of the 2026 and beyond lineup for GMMTV. They gave us thirty queer stories. Twenty-two were BL, eight were GL, and one was a stage musical. Having that many series revealed also came with a certain amount of controversy.

9 Thai Workplace Romance BLs to Make You Swoon

You might get reported to HR if you strike up a romance in your office, but these guys are luckier. I have a soft spot for workplace romance, much more so than school romances. All of these recommendations have happy endings. And there’s one show with a throuple lurking in this list.

“That Summer” Series Review (Ep.3 to 10)

Love writes its own story. No one journey looks the same, yet every heart chases some version of a happily ever after, whether it lasts a lifetime or becomes a memory we carry with us. That Summer leans heavily into this theme, weaving together several lives whose paths cross on an island shaped by grief, healing, and the unexpected ways love finds us.

GMMTV 2026 Magic Vibes Maximized- PART II

GMMTV’s attempts to quantify their queer production is indeed praiseworthy. But can quantification guarantee quality as well? With 32 dramas up for production next year and quite a few from the 2025 Lineup, time management will be a big problem. Also, they have been recruiting new talents big time, but can they successfully manage these many artists and create new content for all of them? That remains to be seen!

GMMTV 2026 Magic Vibes Maximized- PART I

As expected, “GMMTV2026 Magic Vibes Maximized” was a grand event; not just in terms of event planning, but we are talking about the amount of shows too. GMMTV announced 35 new series, 22 of which are BL, 8 are GL and 5 other series. It is obvious that following the legalization of same-sex marriage, GMMTV is diving deeper into the market of queer representation. It is making them more money than heterosexual romances, and they are bringing in more talents to develop steadfast queer oriented content!

BL Week in Review

My favorite Thai company, GMMTV, announced two highly anticipated series that are going to premiere soon. “Burnout Syndrome” and “Melody of Secrets” have been on my must-watch list since I saw their mock trailers at previous lineup events, and I’m so curious to see how they play out. “Burnout Syndrome” starts on Wednesday, and “Melody of Secrets” begins on December 5. I have a good feeling about these two.

“Rearrange” Series Review (Ep.1 to 10)

There is no doubt in my mind that some may find this series entertaining and maybe even cute. Unfortunately, I am not in that category. For me, this was yet another in a long string of endless high school cliché dramas that was unoriginal and trite and filled with every conceivable trope you can think of. Admittedly, it started out interestingly enough. But here again, it moved too inextricably and set up a false premise that from a logical perspective did not make any sense that was never explained nor fully clarified.
