“Dead Friend Forever” (DFF) started out rather slowly paced, gained a lot of momentum in the middle, however, by episode 8, the show provided too much unnecessary exposition and plot that did not quite tie in, and fell short in their resolution which resulted in a subpar finale. However, as a slasher/horror series, it delivered on the scares, gore, and delved into the horrors of the human mind which acts as a cautionary tale against bullying and being complicit in the face of others’ wrongdoings.

“Dead Friend Forever” (DFF) is a slasher/horror series, about 8 friends who take a trip to a vacation house as a farewell to their friend who is going to study abroad. While on the trip, in the middle of nowhere, it becomes clear that there is a sinister presence that is attacking the boys, and past secrets seem to be haunting them. The boys now have to play a game of cat and mouse with the killer, while some of them are hiding their secrets, about what really happened to their friend, and a “Lord of the Flies”-esque survival game becomes afoot, as the original crew Top (Jet Bundit), Por (Us Nititorn), Tee (JJay Patiphan), Fluke (Bump Pawat), Jin (Copper Phuriwat) and Tan (Mio Athens) tries to hide their acts, from their partners Phi (Ta Nannakun), White (Fuaiz Thanawat) while the audience try to figure out what really happened and what is causing the killings.

Set in a picturesque backdrop that literally brags about the production value, the most celebrated Thai BL of all times- KinnPorsche ended on a high note last week.
The Thai BL KinnPorsche the series has ended, and with its finale, a bittersweet hole has been left in many viewers’ hearts. From the blurred lines the characters were born from to the blurred lines they grew into, this series exceeded expectations.
Trust is a beautiful but precarious thing. It’s not easily earned or kept, but it’s powerful when given.
We at BL Xpress are so enamored with this adaptation that we wanted to try something new.
