“Your Dear Daddy” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

Someone has a serious obsession with being called “Daddy.”

Don’t worry, this show doesn’t portray any incestuous relationship. It is just that one of the main leads likes being addressed so. Adapted from the novel “Until You #RiakDadSiThan” (Until You #เรียกแด๊ดสิธาร) by CEO, the show stars Fluke Pusit opposite his new co-star, SaengNuea Jitaboon. The first two episodes portray a crisp but intriguing relationship that blossoms between the two protagonists. The storytelling is palpable enough to grab your attention. The show has an impressive supporting cast as well, so every twist & turn is interesting!!

Storyline & Chemistry-

Saithan (SaengNuea Jitaboon) is a rich spoiled kid, who loves to hookup with random people on the dating app. Despite having graduated, he refuses to join his family business and lazes around. On holiday in Chiang Mai, he happens to meet Sila (Fluke Pusit), the wealthy owner of Phu Saengdao farm and hotel. Sila is well respected in the community & quite influential. The two find themselves strangely drawn to one another and ultimately spend a night together. When Saithan wakes up next morning, he realizes that Sila wasn’t his casual hookup from the app. Panicking, he runs away, leaving Sila confused. Unfortunately, while returning home, Saitharn has a car accident with Mueanphrae (Mae Methakarn), the child of an influential local & Sila’s close acquaintance. Sila steps in to solve Saitharn’s financial troubles because his family has disowned him and his cards are frozen. In return, Sila proposes that Saithan should work for Phu Saengdao farm in order to clead his debt. Left with no other option, Saithan follows Sila to his farm. Being bought up in a pampered environment, Saitharn has never worked in his entire lifetime. He has problems when he starts working in the tea estate. But slowly, Saithan learns how to pluck tea leaves without losing their flavor. Fluke & SaengNuea have an interesting chemistry, their NC scenes were tastefully depicted. Sila really enjoys teasing Saitharn but he also admires his dedication to work.

First Impressions

The first two episodes paint a pretty picture of different protagonists!!

Saithan doesn’t seem to be on good terms with his family, especially his mother. We still don’t know the reason of why he keeps running away from home. Sila seems like the gentle yet mature presence that he needs in his life. I’m all set to watch the upcoming episodes, because the slow burn romance is indeed entertaining!!
