Latest BL Releases That I’m Enjoying!!

Being a part of the BL Xpress is no mean feat. We have to tackle a daily load of incoming new releases, the floodgates haven’t receded yet. We obviously prefer quality to quantity. That’s why we only choose to review or talk about shows that are a worthwhile experience. Today’s feature is about the latest releases that we thought are worth sharing!!

A Dog and a Plane

TayNew already have an intriguing chemistry which is worth exploring. Now insert Oabnithi into this equation and we have a potboiler on our hands. “A Dog and a Plane” stars our effervescent couple in another romantic comedy. Flight attendant Kanit (New Thitipoom) believes he is in a secure relationship with his boyfriend, Lion (Oab Oabnithi) who works as a co-pilot for another airline company. Sadly, Lion has been cheating on him with fellow flight attendant, Veha (Ryu Phudtripart). While returning home from his latest flight, Kanit clashes with Toto (Tay Tawan). The next day, at the airport, they again have an altercation and their suitcases get exchanged. The chaotic trio borrow his expensive belongings for a night out, and they get ruined. When the truth comes out and Toto can’t afford to pay Kanit back, he agrees to a trade of labour. His first task is to find out if Lion is cheating on Kanit. Toto is terrible at investigating things, but their interactions are pure chaotic gold, mixed with oodles of awesome chemistry!!

Lately, It’s Winter Season

The latest release in the “Fourever You Project Season Two” is a solemn tale of two wayward youths. One of the main leads is the son of a ruthless mafia boss, while the other has a stepfather who returns from prison to wreak havoc on their peaceful life. Tiger (Pie Saranvut), the lonely youngest son of a powerful family, meets classmate Dueannao (Golf Pasatorn) during football tryouts. Their first clash turns into warmth, as Tiger starts living with Duennao’s family. But life isn’t easy as Tiger’s father uses his elder brother, Leo (Aong Sittan) to keep him under hisp control. Leo, for most parts, acts like a ruthless young master, but underneath that disguise he loves his younger brother a lot and is overprotective of him. Pie & Golf have a sweet camaraderie, their comfort levels are visible in every scene they share together. The family dynamics is an added advantage!!

Payback

Revenge stories are on the rise, betrayal stings; it is only right to seek vengeance. Sun (Min Thanakorn) is a 25-year-old deliveryman with a troubled past. He once worked as a ruthless debt collector, which caused his brother’s death. He has forever lived in guilt, until he learns that his ex-boyfriend Sunny (Fuaiz Thanawat) was behind his brother’s death. Seeking revenge, he decides to join Sunny’s management company, Dream Entertainment. Thereupon, he meets Jay (Toptap Jarukit), the intimidating and charismatic company director. Jay steps in as Sun’s sponsor while quietly backing his every move amidst the fierce competition in the showbiz world. We really need to compliment Min’s chemistry with both Fuaiz & Toptap. His acting talents are equally exemplary, as he quietly expresses Sun’s despair & desperation.

When Oranges Fall

Teenage love is sweet, endearing and a lifetime experience, sometimes as sweet as the oranges falling in our backyard. Ko Neung (Progress Passawish) is the famous boss in his area; everyone knows him. Things get interesting when Ko Song (Almond Poomsuwan) moves next door in the house with an orange tree. The oranges growing on this tree are sweet and Ko Neung is addicted to their taste. Initially, they don’t get along, until fate has its way and Ko Song joins Ko Neung’s classroom. Their homeroom teacher makes them sit together and thus begins a new chapter of their friendship. As they spend time together alongside Ko Neung’s close friends, Achi, Augar & August, they form a tight bond. Also, Ko Song & Ko Neung develop feelings for each other. This was my first time watching Almond & Progress. I didn’t watch their first project, Love Sick 2024. It seems like I missed out on witnessing their awesome camaraderie and even better chemistry!!
