But nowadays, most production houses are no longer afraid of creating queer content or broadcasting it on their own YouTube Channels.

A psychological thriller, “Deep In” dips its toes in some serious method acting. The actors seamlessly blend into their environment so well, you wonder if they are acting or actually living their characters. Actor Zhang Zhun (Shu Yuan) auditions for the film “Into the Role” in an effort to overcome a career slump. He is paired opposite the top actor of the year, Zhen Xin (Ollie). Initially, they don’t get along, as Zhen Xin is quite arrogant. In the film, the two portray a doctor and a patient engaged in a struggle of desire and emotional manipulation. As they begin to act in the film, boundaries are blurred because of their intimate scenes. Zhen Xin’s perspective slowly begins to change, as he catches feelings for his co-star. The emotions they portray onscreen soon spill into their real life, complicating their love lives. Ollie and Shu Yuan play immersive characters, their performance is topnotch and enchanting!!

Bai Che (Wang Yu Xiao) a death-scene cleanup worker, is suddenly confronted with the mysterious death of his adoptive father at a job site. Bai Che also learns the shocking truth that he was abducted, and his adoptive father had been discreetly using him for his organ trade. The show is a shocking tale of deceit and betrayals. The main couple have decent chemistry!!

Blue Lips

The latest entrant in the Chinese BL market, “Blue Lips” had smooth sailing in the pilot episodes. Former elite lawyer Teng Mo (Wei Lin Yu) walks away from his promising career after becoming haunted by an unsolved murder case. He opens an adult shop and drifts through an empty, aimless life. One day, Wu Shi Xian (Lan Shao Yun), a rebellious singer with striking blue lipstick, walks into his store and repeatedly buys Viagra, catching Teng Mo’s attention. Whenever Teng Mo visits his friend’s bar, he is awestruck by Wu Shi Xian’s music, so he repeatedly annoys him with unreasonable song requests. From annoyance and constant bickering, their attraction results in a one night stand. The initial episodes hint at a somber chemistry between the main leads, hinting at a possibly stronger romance later.
