It has been a slow curve for GL productions, but the massive hit “Gap The Series” has suddenly turned the wheel of fortune. Starting from Thailand, the revolution is now spreading to Japanese shores, with avid producers banking on the sudden popularity of this genre.
I’m literally in tears because the drama ended too soon and there is STILL so much left to explore!

2023 was a phenomenal year for BL productions. With the pandemic panic finally receding and restrictions being uplifted, the BL industry was very busy churning out massive hits. Artistic freedom is evolving and so are the BL actors. This year we saw some rookie actors joining the ranks and against our better judgement, they proved their worth. So, we weren’t surprised with this year’s results where the fans voted in full swing for the actors who deserved this title!

Japanese BL adaptations are the current favor of the season and the upcoming drama “Although I Love You, and You?” has joined the news breaking trend!
Wow! What a ride this movie is! Be warned, however. This movie is a ‘hack-and-slash’ gory romp of blood and guts. So, if this is not your thing, I suggest you do not watch it. Even though I generally dislike these types of movies, I loved this one because it is so Avante-Garde. Despite what you might imagine, while it is a gay-themed movie, there is no romance here, however. Certainly not a BL by any stretch of the imagination. It is just sensual.
Fuji TV’s (The Novelist, Mood Indigo and Playback) upcoming adaptation “Perfect Propose” released the key visual and teaser video, while announcing the premiere date as 2nd February 2024.
