The Day I Loved You starts off exactly as advertised. And I do mean that in the best way. It is a cute, fluffy BL set in high school, with a love triangle, unrequited love, sparks flying at the first meeting, prom, the whole shebang. It has kept me hooked after barely thirty minutes of content so far.

“To Do (Oh My God)” Series Review (Ep.1 to 5)

To be honest, this comedic BL is uneven. The story at times got a bit pedestrian. But hidden in this series is another tale; one that is not so sweet and with hints of deep pain and sadness. It is simply confounding yet brilliant how this BL can tell two different stories bound to one character that, seemingly, are insignificant. But is he the key to this captivating series?

Anticipated LGBTQ/Queer Movies/Dramas

While the world seems to be spinning around the BL mania (quite understandably so), we do have intelligent media producing and propagating the queer experience. They may not have the colossal fan following that the Asian BL industry commands, but they are slowly evolving into intellectual voices of optimism and vivid representation. Although the stigma still exists, now we have actors who are willing to step out of the box; inclined to challenge themselves by portraying LGBTQ roles. Gone are the days when queer characters were used for comic relief. Today, we have classic adaptations like “The Interview with The Vampire” that have made a mark with their daredevil act and honest depiction. In today’s feature, we will be checking out some of the most anticipated queer shows/movies in 2023!

“My Story The Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

The 2020 Pinoy BL series “My Day” burst on the scene with diverse takes from fans and reviews on whether the series was worth watching. The show was funny with a touch of charm, as the blue collar Sky (Miko Gallardo) fell in love with Ace (Aki Torres) who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. 3 years later have the sequel “My Story” which gives us a glimpse into Sky’s life. Miss Becky, Kim, Jelai, and Jam bid a send off to most of the events that happened before in the prequel.

“Chains of Heart” Series Review (Ep.3 to 10)

Does true love conquer all? The ten episodic Thai drama series Chains of Heart concluded with a series finale that left social media in a state of disarray. Ken (Haii Sarunasathorn), a young man who spent two years dealing with the violent conclusion of his relationship with Din (Kut Tanawat). That conclusion came in the form of a bullet taking the pair over a mountain cliff’s edge. How Ken came back alive to mourn the loss of his lover and the fate of Din is the central plot of this epic saga.
