Amongst my chaotic week between “Pit Babe Season 2” and “The Next Prince” came another BL into my life. Honestly I had seen the pilot and kept it in my ‘binge watch when the entire show is finished’ list but seeing all the clips of it all over the internet thought maybe starting it now wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

As I sit and write this, I realize it’s finally summer vacation! My teaching job is officially completed until I go back in the fall. There are so many things I’m looking forward to doing, including writing more of my novel and starting a Patreon account. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be a full-time content creator for the summer.
We had an early bird surprise with GMMTV announcing the premiere date for one of their most anticipated historical romance. As avid fans are gearing up for the release, the past week went by slowly without much fanfare!

Tomorrow marks the first day of Pride Month, and as we head into another June, I realize how fortunate I am to have discovered this genre. It helped me figure out who I am, and I will be forever grateful.
This is a fiery week because I get to put two more highly recommended series on my BL Watchlist: “Top Form” and “My Golden Blood”.
“Top Form” held its final episode fan meeting on Sunday, and concurrently released its final episode on Tencent/WeTV under VIP only on the same day. What an exhilarating ride, everyone. Absolutely, check it out, but be prepared for tears.
We had some interesting announcements dropping offshore last weekend. With “My Golden Blood” ending on a high note, avid fans are speculating about the next release from the GMMTV camp. We have quite a few shows in their pre & post-production stage, so we can look forward to some rapid releases in the upcoming months!
I have watched a lot of BL series, having liked and loved a fair share of them, but there are some series that can be considered as unique masterpieces. Shows that will make you fall in love with the characters, actors whose chemistry exceeds them, and stories that will keep you addicted till the end and afterwards. With a bit of an effort, this series would have been phenomenal and nothing short of a masterpiece. But it honestly did not believe in itself enough to make it memorable. Instead, it relied too heavily on the tried-and-true tropes of the day. Believe it or not, this WAS a good premise. As the expression goes, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Some shows are good, some are bad; there are some which are midway, you know they are bad but yet you can’t stop watching them!
There were twenty-four BL series that aired this last week, and consequently, there was no way for me to keep up on all of them. I had to pick and choose, and some of the ones that weren’t as captivating to me got dropped.
That being said, episode one of The Ex-Morning aired on Thursday, May 22. I may have gone a bit crazy and helped with the trend on X, but it’s KristSingto after all. And, in my humble opinion, they are still the kings. I may or may not watch it again tonight after I write this article.
