“Enemies with Benefits” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

What happens when you end up falling for your arch enemy?

Adapted from the web novel “Enemies with Benefits” (ลัลล์ไม่ชอบไวน์ Enemies With Benefits) by Snow Leopard (เสือดาวหิมะ), “Enemies with Benefits” has a clear premise. Two department leads who argue in the conference room end up falling in love. It’s not just about the enmity, but the delicious friction that makes way for passionate chemistry is the crux of this show. The show stars the fresh pairing of Jan Ployshompoo & JingJing Prariyapit. Jan is a GMMTV stalwart, and it has long been in the making. Guess they were just waiting to find her right partner and then JingJing came along. Their fiery chemistry is the bait that pulls you to this fictional world of love and rivalry.

The Storyline & Chemistry-

Head of Accounting Wine (JingJing Prariyapit) is ruthless and known for her mercilessness. Most people avoid her, and she clearly has no qualms pointing out mistakes. Things get interesting when the Department of Sales gets their new head, Lal (Jan Ployshompoo). Despite having a dominant personality, Lal is mild-natured and well liked by her colleagues. They continuously butt heads in the conference room since Wine points out their mistakes endlessly. But what no one knows is that under that cold exterior, Wine is actually quite sensitive and vulnerable. A drunken night leads a one-night stand. Morning comes with regret but Lal proposes a new deal- a friends with benefits relationship. As they muster courage and get closer, Jan realizes that Wine is actually very sweet and mostly misunderstood.

Jan & JingJing have a fantastic chemistry, there is zero hesitancy or awkwardness in their NC scenes. JingJing is so breathtakingly beautiful. I understand why Lal is so besotted with Wine.

First Impressions

They make a beautiful pairing and watching them fall in love is a revelling experience!!

Wine has built huge walls around herself and she seldom trusts anyone easily. As such, she has always been a loner. Lal on the other hand, has a warm personality and is kind-natured. She understands Wine’s vulnerability better than anyone else and offers comfort, without asking for much in return. Lal is fast becoming Wine’s anchor, and I’m looking forward to the blossoming romance!!
