“The Fire” isn’t your typical “Enemies to Lover’s” journey, it is a sojourn of lifetime redemption!!
The fiery chemistry between the main leads is definitely the determining factor for this storyline. Adapted from the novel “The Fire” (The Fire โซ่รักอัคนี) by Salmon (แซลม่อน), the final edition of “4 Elements” stars Namneung Milin & Noey Kanteera in lead roles. As compared to the other celebrated couples in the earlier installments, Milin & Noey had a lot riding on their shoulders. They had to match the chemistry driven by their predecessors, who are established couples in the GL industry. Did they make it? Yes, they did. “The Fire” quickly became one of my favorite GL stories in a long time. Everything starting from the narrative to the storytelling and chemistry was topnotch & off-the-charts.
Storyline & Chemistry-

Fai Wathinwanit (Namneung Milin) and Kaphrao Athittaya (Noey Kanteera), childhood rivals, cross paths again when Fai mistakenly believes Kaphrao is her father’s new young mistress, scheming to steal the family’s fortune. Fai lost her mother when she was young and was raised by her aunt, Panee (Deuan Prima). Convinced by her aunt that Kaprao is a gold digger, Fai makes it her mission to torment her at every turn. Surprisingly, Kaphrao refuses to back down, firing back, unlike their childhood times when she was easily scared & timid. As they bicker endlessly and have arguments, Fai is slowly drawn towards Kaprao’s persistence and courage. However, her aunt continues scheming and makes sure that they don’t get together. In the midst of this chaotic situation, Kaprao’s college friend, Nod (Minmin Rachaya) meets her coincidentally. She decisively approaches Kaprao with the intention of dating her. Driven by jealousy, Fai is forced to reconcile with her true feelings for Kaprao. They confess and start dating. Unfortunately, Aunt Panee falls sick and they are forced to separate. In due course of time, Aunt Panee realizes that Fai & Kaprao are meant to be and she accepts their relationship wholeheartedly.
Final Impressions

There were a lot of twists & turns in this show, so it was pretty entertaining!!
Unlike her elder cousins, Fai’s family situation isn’t ideal. She is distant from her father because Aunt Panee keeps showing discord between them. She hates Kaprao without realizing that her father sacrificed his life to save Fai’s father. She first has to make peace with the fact that her father indeed loves her. Secondly, Aunt Panee had to overcome her own insecurities. The cousins helped as usual, the show hinges on their strong familial bond. At the end of the day, Namneung Milin & Noey Kanteera were fantabulous in their big screen debut!!
