If you thought the first batch of GMMTV’s upcoming projects had plenty to offer, we’re not quite done yet! After exploring 15 titles in Part I, it’s time to turn our attention to the remaining projects in this exciting lineup.
And I have to say, this second batch has some particularly interesting concepts. From a heartbreaking story about a song left behind by a departed lover to supernatural connections, school rivalries, complicated family relationships and multiple romantic stories under one roof, there’s quite a bit to unpack.
We also have some familiar pairings returning, a few interesting new collaborations and projects that could potentially surprise us. KristSingto fans, in particular, have a reason to pay attention, while MilkLove and JanJingJing are also bringing new GL stories to the table.
There are also a couple of projects that have me wondering whether GMMTV is planning a full-fledged BL romance or something closer to bromance. I’m keeping my expectations open until we get more details!
So, let’s dive into the remaining 15 titles and see what GMMTV has in store for us!
1. Our Melodies
Adapted from the web novel “Our Melodies” (Our Melodies #ทำนองนั้น) by double moons.
Featuring: Satang Kittiphop & Tytan Teepprasan
A song can hold memories, but what happens when the person who wrote it is no longer around to hear it?
Our Melodies follows Pao, who has spent three years struggling with the death of his boyfriend, Kram. One of the most precious things Kram left behind was a song he had written for Pao as a birthday present. It was a deeply personal melody, one that Pao has never been able to forget.
However, things take an unexpected turn when he hears the very same song being performed by Tungman, a singer who has finally found success after years of trying to establish himself in the music industry. The song has become a massive hit, attracting millions of listeners, but Pao knows that it originally belonged to Kram.
And just like that, a painful memory comes rushing back.
I have to admit that this premise immediately caught my attention. There’s something particularly heartbreaking about finding a piece of someone you loved in a place where you least expect it. I’m curious to see how the story explores grief, music, artistic ownership and the emotional connection between the characters.
This could be a beautiful and bittersweet BL if the storytelling manages to capture the emotional weight of its premise. I’m definitely interested in seeing how this one develops.
2. Cherish
Starring: Milk Pansa & Love Pattranite
MilkLove are returning with Cherish, and this time, we’re getting a GL story that appears to combine romance, mystery and emotional suspense.
The story revolves around Cher, a teacher who secretly harbours feelings for Fah. However, their relationship takes a devastating turn following Fifa’s disappearance and Cher’s subsequent loss of memory. With the past becoming increasingly difficult to piece together, the two women find themselves caught in a mystery that threatens to keep them apart.
As they attempt to uncover what happened, they must also confront the memories and emotions that connect them.
Now, this sounds considerably more intense than the usual romantic storyline, and I’m interested in seeing MilkLove tackle something with a suspenseful element.
I particularly like that the premise seems to place the relationship within a larger mystery. Hopefully, the series gives us enough clues to keep us guessing while also allowing the emotional connection between the characters to develop naturally.
MilkLove have already established themselves as a popular GL pairing, so expectations will naturally be high. I’m hoping Cherish gives them another memorable story to work with!
3. Cinematch
Adapted from the novel “Cinematch” (Cinematch หมี่ซีนีม่า) by Jellyybi.
Starring: Teshow Promsakha & Ping Krittanun
A university film project, an ideal leading man and feelings that might be more complicated than expected. Cinematch sounds like it could be an entertaining campus BL.
The story follows Bamee, a film student who is working on a movie of his own. When he comes across Sun, a senior who resembles the protagonist he has envisioned for his film, Bamee decides to invite him to take on the role.
As filming progresses, the two gradually grow closer. However, things become more complicated when someone from Sun’s past reappears, bringing unresolved feelings and questions into the picture.
I like the idea of using filmmaking as the backdrop for a romance. It gives the characters an opportunity to spend time together while also allowing the series to explore creativity, ambition and the sometimes blurry line between fiction and reality.
Teshow and Ping are an interesting pairing, and I’m curious to see how their chemistry translates on screen. I’m also wondering whether the film Bamee is making will end up reflecting his own feelings more than he initially intended.
After all, sometimes the best love stories aren’t the ones we write. They’re the ones we accidentally find ourselves living!
4. The Gentlemen’s Blood
Featuring: Surf Patchara, Java Bhobdhama, Chokun Puttipong, Aston Ratiphat, Mac Nattapat, Taas Tanyongmas
If there’s one thing GMMTV knows how to do, it’s create a school setting where things are considerably more complicated than just attending classes!
The Gentlemen’s Blood takes us into an elite boys’ school where wealth and social status determine the balance of power. While privileged students enjoy influence and authority, scholarship students find themselves navigating a very different reality.
However, beneath the school’s seemingly polished exterior lies a darker world involving class divisions, complicated relationships and a mysterious death.
As the students become entangled in the secrets surrounding the institution, friendships, loyalties and romantic relationships are put to the test.
The premise sounds intriguing, particularly because it appears to combine school drama with mystery and social commentary. I’m curious about how the three pairings will fit into the larger storyline and whether the series will give each relationship enough room to develop.
SurfJava, ChokunAston and TaasMac make for an interesting combination, and I’m looking forward to seeing what dynamics they bring to the screen.
Hopefully, this isn’t going to be another case of the rich students behaving badly while everyone else suffers the consequences. Although, knowing the setting, I suspect there will be plenty of drama to go around!
5. My Beautiful Enemy
Adapted from the novel “For Her: Catching a Butterfly” (For Her ไม่ใช่สำหรับเธอ) by KWONAE.
Starring: Jan Ployshompoo & JingJing Prariyapit
Jan and Jingjing are back together in My Beautiful Enemy, and the premise suggests we’re in for a rather entertaining enemies-to-lovers GL.
The story begins when Yara leaves a scathing review of a perfume, bringing her into conflict with the perfumer behind it. As circumstances unfold, Yara ends up having to work as the perfumer’s assistant for three months in order to fulfil a contractual obligation.
Being forced to work together is hardly an ideal situation when neither woman is particularly fond of the other. However, as they spend more time together, their initial hostility gradually gives way to something more complicated.
Well, we all know how these enemies-to-lovers stories tend to go. One minute they’re arguing over everything, and the next they’re finding increasingly creative reasons to spend time together!
I’m particularly interested in this pairing because the perfume industry provides an interesting backdrop for the romance. It could also allow the series to explore how scent, memories and personal experiences influence our perceptions of people.
Jan and Jingjing have another opportunity to bring their chemistry to the screen, and I’m hoping this one delivers plenty of entertaining banter alongside the romantic developments.
6. Your Eyes, My Ears
Starring: Singto Prachaya & Krist Perawat
Now, this is one reunion that deserves a little extra attention!
Krist and Singto are returning together in Your Eyes, My Ears, a supernatural BL that combines ghosts, unusual abilities and an unexpected connection between two individuals.
The story revolves around a young man who comes from a family involved in making coffins and has the ability to see ghosts. He eventually encounters someone who possesses a rather unusual ability of his own: he can hear the voices of spirits but cannot see them.
With their abilities complementing one another, the two begin working together to help wandering spirits fulfil their unfinished wishes and find peace.
However, as they become increasingly involved in the supernatural world, their own connection begins to take on a deeper meaning.
I have to say, this is one of the concepts I’m particularly excited about. The supernatural element provides plenty of opportunities for interesting storytelling, while the idea of two people possessing complementary abilities is a lovely foundation for a developing relationship.
And then there’s KristSingto! Seeing them reunite for another project is exciting in itself, but I’m especially pleased that they’re returning with something that appears to have a different flavour from their previous collaborations.
I’m hoping we get a good balance of supernatural mystery, emotional moments and romance. This is definitely one I’m keeping an eye on!
7. Blueprint
Featuring: Tee Teeradech & Dew Jirawat
Moving from ghosts and supernatural mysteries to the basketball court, Blueprint introduces a sports-oriented story that could offer an interesting mix of competition, ambition and personal relationships.
The story follows a basketball team manager who decides to recruit a talented but difficult player. While the new recruit has the potential to strengthen the team, his lack of cooperation makes the manager’s job considerably more challenging.
As they work together towards building a stronger team, their relationship is put to the test by disagreements, personal ambitions and a plan that could threaten the future of the team itself.
Dew and Tee are at the centre of this project, and I’m curious to see how their characters interact.
The sports setting is certainly a welcome change, especially if the series gives us a closer look at teamwork, discipline and the pressure that comes with competitive athletics.
However, I do have one question: is this going to be a full-fledged BL or more of a bromance? The premise leaves room for either possibility, and I’m not jumping to conclusions just yet.
Either way, I’m interested in seeing what GMMTV does with this one. A good sports drama with compelling characters can be just as entertaining as a romance!
8. Be Mine
Adapted from the web novels “More & More #Winniethecat,” “Be My Baby!” (ฺBe My Baby! #บมบบยูริ), “Be My Sugar!” (Be My Sugar! #บมชก), and “Be My Boo!” (Be My Boo! #บมบ) by Khun Phuying (คุณผู้หญิง)
Featuring: Emi Thasorn, Bonnie Pattraphus, Sangt Sillapintr, Acare Chompoopuntip, Pang Sabsima, Yoghurt Yosita
If one GL pairing isn’t enough, how about four?
Be Mine is an anthology-style GL project that brings together four different romantic stories, each exploring relationships from a different perspective.
The four stories are:
Be My Sugar: Featuring Emi and Bonnie.
Be My Baby: Featuring Kapook and Ciize.
Be My Boo: Featuring Sangt and Acare.
More & More: Featuring Yoghurt and Pang.
With storylines involving fake relationships, workplace dynamics, former lovers and unexpected connections, the anthology promises plenty of romantic possibilities.
I’m particularly curious about how GMMTV will approach the four stories and whether each will have a distinct tone and style.
And can we talk about KapookCiize for a moment? I’m especially excited about this pairing! They’ve got an interesting opportunity here, and I’m hoping their storyline gives them plenty of room to showcase their chemistry.
EmiBonnie also makes for an exciting addition, while the other two pairings bring further variety to the project.
Four different couples, four different stories and hopefully four reasons to keep watching. I’m certainly not complaining about having more GL content on my watchlist!
9. Fake Boss, Real Boyfriend
Starring: Aou Thanaboon & Third Lapat
What happens when a company security guard suddenly finds himself pretending to be the CEO? Well, judging by the title, things are probably going to get rather complicated!
Fake Boss, Real Boyfriend follows a security guard who unexpectedly finds himself stepping into the shoes of a missing company president.
With the real CEO nowhere to be found, the guard is asked to take on the role, despite having absolutely no experience running a company. To make matters worse, he has to work with a management consultant who is responsible for turning him into someone capable of handling the position.
As the two spend more time together, their professional arrangement gradually develops into something more personal.
Aou and Third are teaming up for this romantic comedy, and I think the premise has plenty of potential for hilarious situations.
I’m particularly looking forward to the contrast between someone who has been trained to protect a company and someone who is expected to run it. The possibility of the fake CEO getting caught in awkward situations is already making me curious.
Of course, the real question is whether he’ll be able to convince everyone that he’s the boss while simultaneously trying not to fall for the person helping him pull off the act!
10. Our Lyrics
Adapted from the web novel “Our Lyrics” (Our Lyrics บทเพลงของความไม่จริงใจ) by Namo (ณโม.)
Starring: Anthony Buisseret & Krit Ukrit
Music, university life and an unexpected connection form the foundation of Our Lyrics, another campus BL that has caught my attention.
The story follows Woon, a university student who loses his beloved smartphone and subsequently crosses paths with Boon, a student from the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Their connection begins through an unusual part-time job involving a rain-protection ritual. What initially seems like an ordinary arrangement gradually brings the two closer together, with playful interactions and unexpected feelings complicating their relationship.
I’m interested in seeing how the series uses music and art to shape its storyline. The title itself suggests that songs and lyrics could play an important role in expressing the emotions that the characters struggle to put into words.
Anthony and Krit are also an interesting combination, and I’m curious to see what kind of chemistry they bring to this project.
Hopefully, the series manages to give us a charming campus romance with enough individuality to stand apart from the many university BLs we’ve already watched.
11. Safety Flirt
Starring: Nycha Nuttanicha & Prim Chanikarn
A new GL pairing, an office setting and a romance that seems to be developing between two very different personalities. Safety Flirt sounds like it could be a fun addition to GMMTV’s growing GL lineup.
The story follows Jira, a newly appointed secretary who finds herself working alongside Suki, an engineer at a factory.
While Jira is still trying to adjust to her new responsibilities and navigate the unfamiliar workplace, Suki comes across as rather difficult to approach. Her serious demeanour and seemingly unfriendly attitude make it challenging for the two women to get along initially.
However, as they spend more time together, Jira begins to discover that there is more to Suki than her intimidating exterior suggests.
I’m curious about this pairing because workplace romances can be particularly entertaining when the characters have contrasting personalities.
Nychaa and Prim are also an interesting combination, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they bring these characters to life.
I’m hoping the series gives us plenty of light-hearted moments while also exploring the challenges of navigating professional and personal relationships.
12. I Wanna Hold Your Hand
Featuring: Nut Thanat, Hong Pichetpong & Chae Ongart
This is another project that has me particularly intrigued, and it’s not simply because of the cast.
I Wanna Hold Your Hand appears to be an emotional story about love, memories, family and the passage of time.
The storyline revolves around a grandfather who finally opens up to his family about having loved a man. As he approaches the final chapter of his life, he expresses one particular wish: to reunite with the person he once loved.
His confession sets a journey in motion, bringing together different generations and allowing the characters to revisit memories, relationships and the meaning of love.
With younger characters also navigating their own relationships, the series appears to weave together different experiences of love and companionship.
I really like the idea behind this one. Queer love stories aren’t always about young people falling in love, and exploring an older generation’s experiences could give the series a particularly meaningful perspective.
I’m especially interested in how the story handles the grandfather’s past and the emotions surrounding his wish to reunite with his former lover.
This could be one of the more touching projects in the lineup if handled with care. I’m hoping it gives us something heartfelt without relying too heavily on emotional manipulation.
13. 52Hz
Starring: Nanon Korapat & Jackie Jackrin
Music and competition take centre stage in 52Hz, a project that brings together two aspiring performers with very different approaches to their ambitions.
The story follows a young man determined to become an internationally recognised solo singer. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he is paired with a fellow competitor to form a musical duo.
With their contrasting personalities and musical preferences, working together is hardly going to be straightforward. As they navigate the challenges of collaboration and competition, they must learn to find a sound that belongs to both of them.
Nanon and Jackie are at the centre of this project, and the music-oriented premise certainly gives them an interesting space to explore.
I’m particularly curious about the title. The 52Hz reference brings to mind the idea of a voice or signal that struggles to find someone who can hear it, which could make for an interesting emotional parallel to the characters’ journey.
However, much like Blueprint, I’m keeping my expectations open regarding the nature of the relationship. The project could lean towards bromance, romance or a combination of both.
Either way, I’m interested in seeing what kind of musical journey GMMTV has planned for us.
14. Boys 4 Moms
Adapted from the webnovels “Secret Garden” (Secret Garden ความลับของต้นไม้), “Music Box” (music box กล่องดนตรี), “Jewelry Design” (อัญมณีที่รัก), and “Water Color” (Water Color #ที่พักพิงสีน้ำ) by RIBBINBO
Featuring: Tay Tawan, New Thitipoom, Jimmy Jitaraphol, Sea Tawinan, Force Jiratchapong, Book Kasidet, Junior Panachai & Mark Jiruntanin
Four established pairings, four romantic stories and a rather interesting family connection. Boys 4 Moms certainly has a lot going on!
The series brings together four groups of friends who regularly gather on Sundays, with their respective mothers also forming part of their close-knit circle.
Against this backdrop, the story explores four different romantic journeys involving the characters and their personal lives.
The project is presented through four story segments: Secret Garden, Music Box, Jewelry Design and Water Color, each offering a different setting and relationship to explore.
Now, I have to admit that the cast alone is enough to make this one interesting.
TayNew, JimmySea, ForceBook and JuniorMark appearing in the same project is quite a combination. It’s also nice to see GMMTV bringing several established pairings together in a format that allows each to have its own storyline.
I’m curious about how the four stories will connect and whether the mothers will have a significant role in the romantic developments.
The title certainly suggests that family relationships will be an important part of the narrative, and I’m hoping the series makes good use of that premise.
With four couples involved, there’s certainly plenty of potential for entertaining moments!
15. The Halo
Featuring: Gemini Norawit, Fourth Nattawat, Pond Naravit, Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Perth Tanapon, Santa Pongsapak
And finally, we have The Halo, a fantasy BL project that brings together four popular pairings in one ambitious concept.
The story revolves around four angels who have been cursed and must search among humans for the blessings associated with the four senses in order to break their curse.
As they embark on this mission, their interactions with humans lead to unexpected emotional connections, and their responsibilities begin to clash with the feelings they develop along the way.
The project features GeminiFourth, WilliamEst, PerthSanta and PondPhuwin, making it one of the more interesting ensemble projects in the lineup.
I have to say, bringing all four pairings together in a fantasy setting is quite an ambitious move. I’m curious about how the series intends to divide the storyline and whether each couple will receive enough attention.
The angelic concept also opens up plenty of possibilities for world-building, supernatural elements and romance.
Of course, the biggest challenge will be making sure that the four stories feel connected rather than simply giving us four separate romances under one title.
Still, with this cast and premise, The Halo certainly has my attention. I’m looking forward to finding out more about the characters and the world they’re going to inhabit!
Final Thoughts
And that’s a wrap on all 15 titles in the second instalment of GMMTV’s lineup!
Looking at both parts, it’s clear that GMMTV has quite a few different stories lined up for audiences. From supernatural romances and musical dramas to school mysteries, workplace relationships and emotional stories about love across generations, there’s certainly something for different tastes.
What I find particularly interesting is the number of established pairings returning with new projects. It’s always exciting to see familiar actors reunite, but I’m equally interested in the new combinations and the opportunities they bring for exploring different dynamics.
Among these 15 titles, Your Eyes, My Ears, Our Melodies, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and The Halo have particularly interesting premises. Be Mine also deserves a mention for bringing together four GL pairings, while The Gentlemen’s Blood could be an interesting watch if it manages to deliver on its mystery and school-drama elements.
Of course, there are still a few projects where I’m waiting for more clarity regarding the relationships and the overall direction of the storyline. I’m especially curious about whether Blueprint and 52Hz will lean towards BL or bromance.
But that’s part of the fun of following these announcements, isn’t it? We get to speculate, form expectations and occasionally get surprised when the actual series finally arrives.
With 31 queer-content projects reportedly forming part of the larger lineup, BL and GL fans certainly have plenty to look forward to!
Now, I want to hear from you!
Which of these 15 dramas caught your attention the most? Are you excited about any particular pairing, or is there a storyline that you’re especially curious about? Let me know in the comments.
