I know it’s still early in the series, but I’m going to say it—The Boy Next World is the best thing Me Mind Y has ever done. MAME is an incredible storyteller, and Chaikamon Sermsongwittaya (Boss) and Nuttarat Tangwai (Noeul) have electric chemistry. While I loved their characters in the 2022 hit Love in the Air (also based on a story by MAME), this story feels like an even better fit for them.

EarthMix are my favorite GMMTV Ship. They always have been. Not only are the two incredibly close in real-life on screen their chemistry is nothing short of enigmatic. From the global sensation Tale of Thousand Stars in 2021 to the criminally underrated Cupid’s Last Wish in 2022 and the steamy Moonlight Chicken, I would watch this couple read the phonebook if GMMTV produced it.

One of my favorite things about BL is the community it brings together and the positive message it sends about the LGBTQIA+ community. Of course, there is some negativity, but for the most part, all of the fans scream over all of the cute moments and my social media timeline is full of heartwarming adorableness. So, I was ecstatic to see the celebration of the achievement of marriage equality in Thailand this week. Congratulations to all the happy couples.
There were some intriguing updates past weekend, ranging from exciting to highly anticipated. We have been busy sorting through the news for latest Exclusives from the Boys’ Love/Girls’ Love arena. Add to that the excitement surrounding the marriage equality bill in Thailand, we have some crisp moments in store for you!
Nadirs are the lowest points or the rock-bottoms of something and these for me are the lowest points of all the BL series I watched in 2024. I did not distinguish by number as they all are equally bathos. One, however, is the worst for me.
There were so many fun, cute, exciting, and heartfelt moments this week that this author feels she got to stuff her face with the most delicious food almost every day. My top three are from Perfect 10 Liners, Your Sky, and The Heart Killers.
We are midway through January, there are fewer new updates but the momentum isn’t dropping. The GL industry is slowly turning on the top gear, trying to be on par with their BL counterpart. No matter the territorial differences, the BL/GL industry is on a flare, and we are enjoying the outcome!
We are about to roundup our awards criterion for the year 2024 and the last segment will definitely leave you shocked or surprised; depending on which actors you were rooting for. We ourselves were left bewildered with the surprising choices made our readers; but no matter what, the actors are deserving of the accolades and their exemplary performances stand testament to the same!

As 2024 winds down, RISER MUSIC, a record label under GMMTV, is setting the stage for an electrifying start to 2025 with the debut of their newest boy group: PROJECT JASP.ER. This dynamic foursome—Joong Archen, Aou Thanaboon, Santa Pongsapak, and Pond Naravit have already captured our hearts in some of the the most popular series in BL history (“Fish Upon the Sky” staring Pond, “Vice Versa” featuring Aou, and “Hidden Agenda” starring Joong are three of my favorite comfit shows while Santa is featured in “Between Us” – a midquel to “Until We Meet Again”) and now their set to set those hearts on fire with their music.
I hate to be so brutally honest, but this is one of the worst BLs of 2024. Literally, everything about this series, except perhaps the acting, was uninspiring. Although the young performers did a ‘yeoman’s job’ in trying to keep this shipwreck afloat, they alone could not salvage this complete mess from sinking. Honestly, to say otherwise, is living in a fantasy-land and not dealing with any sense of reality. It is a tepid story with a fragmented screenplay, ineptly directed, disjointedly executed, and undoubtedly should never have been (re)made. The only plus about this series literally is that they had the appropriate aged actors and actresses for the roles. They were young, attractive, innocent in real life, and tried their best to make sense of a story that was essentially senseless. Full disclosure, I did not watch the first ‘Love Sick’, so this was all ‘new’ to me. Thus, I cannot compare it to the original. Besides, this is a stand-alone production and ought to be judged on its own merits or faults.
