“Love in Translation” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

Love in Translation is a romantic love story between two main characters whose life choices and goals are totally different. It can be said that it is a love story with a pinch of inspiring moments; I added pinch because only two episodes have been released yet and from what I gathered; it seems that the story will have a connection on a deeper level on different aspects than just being a simple love story. Our first main character Yang (Daou Pittaya) wants to run a successful buisness and is in search of a thai buisness partner to broaden his business while on the other hand our second main character Phamjai (Offroad Kantapon) is the hardcore fan of a chinese influencer Tammy (Jam Charuttha) and wants to pursue her. One thing leads to another and we know that in life things never occur in a simple way. So, sparks starts flying between our main leads as they get to know each other and start spending time together.

“Wedding Plan” Series Review (Ep.3 to 7)

“Wedding Plan” ended its series run with unexpected results for all the characters. The series was helmed by Mame, who wrote it based on one of her romance novels of the same name. “Dangerous Romance” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

GMMTV’s latest high school romance “Dangerous Romance” uses the age old trope of “Poor vs Rich”, where we have the rich “Kanghan” Krittin Sukprasoet (Perth Tanapon, Love by Chance S1 & S2) and Sailom Homchan (Chimon Wachirawit, Ghost Ships) playing the main lead couple. This series has a distinct “My Gear your Gown” kind of vibes with better writing but better performances. With that being said, I am honestly enjoying this show. Unlike “My Gear your Gown”, which was lacking in chemistry, “Dangerous Romance” delivers. I like the slight differences in the two series. Like hundreds of previous teenage dramas, we have another school setting for this show as well. But I am kind of okay with it as we get to watch the characters grow and mature. I feel this series would not be as good if it didn’t have a school setting like this.

“Only Friends” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

Written and directed by Jojo Tichakorn (whose written and directed many shows for GMMTV), the highly anticipated series “Only Friends” debuted on YouTube. So, I knew what to expect going into this spastic hyper sexual series that surrounds six college friends and the antics they get into. Many familiar actors from multiple series pop up in this drama in quite a few surprising ways, mainly because the cameos weren’t mentioned in any of the trailers that were released online. So, I treat them as cupcakes meant to delight longtime fans of Jojo’s work catalog.
