“Black & White is Real” Series Review (Ep.1 to 77)

Featuring “Fight for You” stars, Andy Ko & Nelson Ji, “Black & White is Real” diverts into two different stories. Fans who enjoyed watching the first project might be naturally drawn to this show because of the natural chemistry between the main leads. Unfortunately, the executive falls short and the storytelling remains abysmal. At times, it seems like the storytelling heavily leans on the chemistry between the main leads; the vertical format works against the pacing as well. The suspense pertaining to the two different stories adds a nice charm to the narrative and is a surprising addition. Despite that, the show was disappointing to watch, and I was nearly exhausted from watching the 2 mins video everyday.

“Reloved” Series Review (Ep.1 to 10)

Sometimes story ideas come along that are so dumb and so mind-numbingly bad, you wonder how you sat through it without completely losing your own sense of reality. Honestly, this is one of the dumbest ideas for a plot I have seen and even adding adorably cute kids to the mix could not salvage this mess. You know you are also in trouble when throughout the series, flashbacks while the protagonists were in college 5 years previously looking the same as they do now. When a series that relies so heavily on days-gone-by without considering that they might have changed in 5 years, you know you have a weak story, and this is one of the most mediocre BLs I have ever seen.
