“Bed Friend The Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

While delving into the Boys’ Love universe, many will understand that most dramas are inspired by Yaoi manga or light novels that exist online. The tall dark-haired man, the lily white skinned auburn-haired, feminine man who often submits to the whims of the dark haired man like a wife- troupe or classic style of storytelling. This is entirely the characteristics that most viewers experience from the onset of the series. I haven’t read the novel by “Littlebbear96”. So, I do not know if the vision was from Yaoi, but the live action version is definitely a living, breathing Yaoi and I adore the boldness of the vision with which Cheewin Thanamin directs this show. After last year’s “LoveStage”(not the same director), I was hugely wary of live action Yaoi’s. Mainly because in the past, actors didn’t seem like they wanted to commit to the roles they play; or the script changes the key aspects relative to the characters. It created a disconnect for me as a viewer and made me feel like I wasted my time.

“Chains of Heart” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

When I first saw the trailer for Chains of Heart, I was instantly intrigued. Hot men, action, a masked crusader on the side of good or evil? But what struck me the most was watching the customary Thai funeral of a man I didn’t know, but I could feel that his death will have a profound effect on the main characters and the storyline. The fact it felt like a spiritual successor to “KinnPorsche” was undeniable. As a fan of the darker BLs and Yaoi, my gay heart did a backflip ending in a split at what I was seeing.

“My School President” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)

On 24 February, fans of the hit GMMTV series My School President said goodbye to TinnGun, ThiewProm, SoundWin, and a plethora of incredibly memorable characters who, over the last twelve weeks, have made us laugh, cry, and even shout out at our television screens. In my humble opinion, this series was the best of everything GMMTV has ever produced. From the chemistry of the leads to the catchiness of the series soundtrack, it’s easy to see how My School President became the talk of the industry, setting up Gemini and Fourth to take the crown as the heirs to the throne of the BL industry.

“Never Let Me Go” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)

Pond Naravit and Phuwin Tangsakyue are the GMMTV power ship that took the world by storm in the 2021 meta-dramedy Fish Upon The Sky. Pond is stoic and statuesque, while Phuwin is innocently beautiful. So, naturally, when their follow-up series was announced, everyone was excited.

“Moonlight Chicken” Series Review (Ep.3 to 8)

There is probably a universe in which Moonlight Chicken was the series it promised to be: a series about a chicken rice restaurant owner who has a chance meeting with a mystifying young man who changes his life, a series about complicated love relationships and infidelity, juxtaposed with messy family dynamics and the purity of young love.

“609 Bedtime Story” Series Review (Ep.3 to 11)

After eleven weeks, 609 Bedtime Story has come to an end. Billed as the first Choose-your-ending BL, this supernatural romance directed by Tanwarin Sukkhapisit stars BL Royalty Ohm Thitiwat and Fluke Natouch as Dew and Mum, who cross parallel worlds to be with one another. Sukkhapisit is no stranger to supernatural dramas, and as a master storyteller, I went into this series with extremely high expectations and wasn’t disappointed.

“Moonlight Chicken” First Impressions (Ep. 1 and 2)

I’m going to be very honest and say I’ve been waiting for this series since December 2021. It was my most anticipated series of 2022 and now that it finally exists it’s like a fever dream.

“Cutie Pie 2 You” Series Review (Ep.1 to 4)

When I first heard that Cutie Pie was going to have a mini series as a sequel, a lot of questions ran through my mind. Would it offer more development to previously underdeveloped characters, especially Syn and Nuer? (Yes, kind of.) Would it offer something to the Cutie Pie world that couldn’t have been covered in the previous series were it better written and better paced? (Not really.)
