“Black & White is Real” Series Review (Ep.1 to 77)

Featuring “Fight for You” stars, Andy Ko & Nelson Ji, “Black & White is Real” diverts into two different stories. Fans who enjoyed watching the first project might be naturally drawn to this show because of the natural chemistry between the main leads. Unfortunately, the executive falls short and the storytelling remains abysmal. At times, it seems like the storytelling heavily leans on the chemistry between the main leads; the vertical format works against the pacing as well. The suspense pertaining to the two different stories adds a nice charm to the narrative and is a surprising addition. BL Week in Review

Eight series ended this week, and we only have one new series beginning next week. I think we are finally getting some breathing room for a minute.

I enjoyed “The Proper Way to Write Love”, “Memoir of Rati”, and “The Promise of the Soul” enough to recommend them here. Each series had a unique premise and was easy to follow. I believe “The Proper Way to Write Love” had the best execution, but “Memoir of Rati” certainly follows close behind. Anyway, they would make a fun binge session for a weekend where you just need to relax.
